Come join us at our regular Saturday crafts meetup where you can work on your own craft/project/writings etc and chat with other crafty people. We are a very friendly, welcoming and inclusive environment. We are relaxed and informal, so no problem if you're late (or don't even come), or if you come a lot (every week) or just twice a year. We are especially happy to see new faces and ensure all new people are welcomed personally and if you are nervous about your first time, I'm happy to chat in advance and answer your questions and/or personally greet you myself. For some, coming to a new meet-up is daunting and we wanna make you feel welcome on your own terms. We work on voluntary contributions twice a year (strictly voluntary) asking a fiver or tenner (once or twice a year) for those who can afford it and come with any frequency. Again, strictly voluntary and only for those who come regularly. Almost all crafts are welcome, if in doubt just send me a message. Most people knit or crochet but happy to have note-booking, drawing and quite excited for unusual crafts. Levels is a great home for our group. We meet somewhat near the check-out counter by the large roof-windows on a long line of tables. Just ask the staff if you cannot find us. It is wheelchair accessible and dog friendly. As only one dog is allowed per group, we do need you to reach out to me in advance before brining a dog. If you have any special needs or questions in general, please do contact me. Hope you see you there!

Hello, people who love to craft - whether that's sewing, or knitting, card making or something else! This is an in-person event to work on your own project while getting to know others and having a chat. Looking forward to seeing you soon

On Saturday 2nd May 2026 we will have an exhibition to celebrate the artwork and life of our much loved member and organiser who sadly passed away last January. Anne lived a varied and unconventional life. One of the constant things throughout was that she was always sketching and making art, even her shopping lists were decorated with doodles. Anne grew up in Portobello and went to art college in Dundee. During her career she worked most of her life in Edinburgh. Even though the aim of this event is to have fun and enjoy Anne’s art, there is the added option of buying some of Anne’s original art as well as prints. All profits raised from these will be donated to McMillan Cancer Support.
Welcome to Studio 48 in Edinburgh, where imagination knows no bounds! Our classes are designed to inspire creativity and ignite a passion for the arts in children of all ages. What makes our club great? We offer a fun and engaging environment where kids can explore various artistic mediums—from painting and drawing to sculpture and clay. Each session encourages self-expression, teamwork, and problem-solving, helping children build confidence while they create.

Let's meet for drinks, chat and drawing! Bring your own materials and draw whatever you like, if you are working on a project or just drawing for fun, experienced or looking for a new hobby everyone is welcome. This is a great way to socialise and meet new people. It would be great if people could show their support for the venue by buying a drink (it doesn't have to be alcoholic ) or some food. This isn't a particularly boozy event if that is something that would put you off, but at the same time don't let that put you off having a drink, just be respectful of the other attendees. Draw as much or as little as you want, also arrive and leave as you wish, the times are only a suggestion (if you plan on arriving after 6.30 just leave a note in the event chat) If you change your mind and decide not to come after signing up, please remove your name (by editing your RSVP) from the list or leave a message in the event chat
