Edinburgh Life Drawing and Urban Sketching

This group is for anyone who likes to draw. Unlike other artists like musicians, actors or dancers... people who like to create drawings often do so alone. Once finished they tend to hide their sketch pad somewhere and few people get the pleasure of seeing their work. There's nothing wrong with that but it could also be a fun social activity just like it was when we were toddlers in art class. All levels and styles are welcome and you could use any medium you like (pencils, charcoal, crayons etc.). We meet weekly in a public place like a coffee-shop or a park. Then you draw anything you like. It could be a bowl of fruit, a person modelling or a dog nearby. There are no teachers or prizes. Just sketching and friends having a wee blether.

Each session encourages self-expression, teamwork, and problem-solving, helping children build confidence while they create.

Let's meet for drinks, chat and drawing! Bring your own materials and draw whatever you like, if you are working on a project or just drawing for fun, experienced or looking for a new hobby everyone is welcome. This is a great way to socialise and meet new people. It would be great if people could show their support for the venue by buying a drink (it doesn't have to be alcoholic ) or some food. This isn't a particularly boozy event if that is something that would put you off, but at the same time don't let that put you off having a drink, just be respectful of the other attendees. Draw as much or as little as you want, also arrive and leave as you wish, the times are only a suggestion (if you plan on arriving after 6.30 just leave a note in the event chat) If you change your mind and decide not to come after signing up, please remove your name (by editing your RSVP) from the list or leave a message in the event chat
