🥳 Welcome to our '3D Jurassic World' workshop suitable for our eldest of explorers from aged 6 years + 🤗Within the workshop your little explorer will be creating their own 3D Jurassic World! They'll learn how to make their own Jurassic World, complete with dinosaurs, a volcano and leafy terrain to take home, with help and support from the class leader. All of our workshops also include our continuous provision of immersive, creative and imaginative play activities. All of our workshops are developed and led by Early Year practitioners and/or teachers of Art and Design, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage. We cant wait to welcome you and your explorer into our studio this Summer holiday!

Learn the exciting art of throwing on the potter's wheel. This course is perfect for beginners and intermediates, where you will learn in a small intimate group to ensure you get the proper guidance and tuition needed. You will develop the skills to throw your own pots in just a few weeks; learning how to centre the clay, open out the shape, pull up the walls and control the form. Your tutor will show you how to shape your piece, trim and neaten, then decorate with glazes before your creations are fired in the kiln.

Carve into clay to create your very own ceramic roller, which you can then use throughout your ceramic journey to imprint your own design in your work. We will start the evening in our brilliant digital suite designing and creating a repeat image/pattern, and use these to begin carving into our rollers, which will have been pre-constructed by Lauren. 🥳 Welcome to our 'Ocean Adventures' workshop suitable for our eldest of explorers from aged 6 years + 🤗Within the workshop your little explorer will be creating their own deep sea discovery jars! They'll learn how to make their own play dough (our Arty Explorers super soft dough), select their own sea creatures to create an imaginative small world play set to take home, with help and support from the class leader. 3 week short course
What: Create expressive land and seascapes using collage, drawing and painting. Experiment with different ways of applying paint and marks to produce interesting papers that can serve as inspiration for dynamic art works. Who: Artist and studio holder Maggie O’Keeffe will be your tutor. Maggie will share her process, guiding you as you express your creativity. Maggie’s exhibition “Wind and Water” is on show at the Long Wall Gallery from 3rd October, which we will visit as part of the course.

This popular day class is welcoming and relaxed and best suited for anyone wishing to build on existing skills, or for those who are more experienced to progress.
