These single-session vouchers are suitable for beginners or improvers, where the student will learn different techniques through hand-building and/or throwing. Are you one of those people who say "I don't know much about art but I know what I like" ? Wouldn't you prefer to be able to say "I know what I like and I know why I like it" ? Do you love art but sometimes feel secretly guilty for not 'getting it'? Do you ever stroll through a gallery and feel you should be gaining much more from your experience? Do you end up leaving the gallery more tired and confused than enlightened or inspired? It doesn't have to be like that. In a regular series of online talks I will guide you through some of the fundamental ideas in Art. We will identify the key features of the main styles in art: Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, 19th c Realism and Modern Art. We will look at such essential components as technique, colour, space, light and shade, composition. We will examine the main subjects in art : Portrait, landscape, still life, religious, secular and mythological scenes. We will think about the ways paintings tell their stories - through expression or symbolism. You will gain fascinating insights, build up a solid understanding of chronology, increase the powers of your own observation, begin to trust your judgement and be able to express your opinions about art with confidence. Above all - you will have a lot of fun amongst some of the greatest paintings in the world.

TICKETS AVAILABLE ✨ HERE ✨ Slow down with a 3-hour experience of intuitive painting and sound immersion in a riverside studio by the Thames. Step into BE Ka Art Studio, Elena's atelier in Trinity Buoy Wharf, for a Saturday morning of creative exploration, mindful reflection, and a gentle, restorative reset. Creative practice is not just about making art — it nurtures your wellbeing. Research shows that creative activities can reduce cortisol (the body’s main stress hormone), ease physical tension and pain, and support emotional balance. When you enter a state of creative flow, the brain shifts into patterns similar to meditation, promoting relaxation, clarity, and presence. Art-making also stimulates the vagus nerve, activating the body’s “rest and digest” response and guiding the nervous system toward calm and safety. Sound also plays a powerful role in this process: immersive tones, such as those of singing bowls, deepen relaxation and enhance this meditative state, helping to lower stress, ease anxiety, and slow the heart rate, stimulating theta and delta brainwave activity. Through intuitive painting and sound, you are invited to regulate emotions, reconnect with yourself, and feel more grounded. Art is not about perfection or outcome — it’s a space to process, release, and return to yourself. Creativity is medicine. Join for a creative reset✨ The Experience This half-day retreat (approx. 3 hours) is designed as a space to slow down, reconnect, and explore creativity without pressure. This is an intimate group experience, with a maximum of six participants, ensuring personalised attention and a deeply focused atmosphere. Schedule 10:45 Arrival and welcome.
