MONDAYS AND FRIDAYS IN ENFIELD Join us for friendly, competitive badminton using nylon shuttlecocks. The club is not suitable for beginner level. We have 4 courts at Wren Academy Enfield, which is situated in the grounds of Chase Farm Hospital, Enfield which is close to Potters Bar, Oakwood, Cockfosters and surrounding areas. We offer a discounted membership scheme for those who wish to play regularly, this normally renews 3 to 4 times per year. There will be no refund for non attendance so please be sure you can make it before you send payment. All attendees should consider the club as an informal gathering of people getting together for some games of badminton. The club is operated and managed by a couple of volunteers in their free time and these volunteers cannot accept any responsibility for any events that occur at the club. Neither the club or venue will take responsibility for any injury, loss or damage that might arise as a result of participation in club activities. Effective warmup and stretches should be undertaken before play to avoid injury and appropriate clothing and footwear is to be worn whilst playing at all times. Every person attending the club must take full and complete responsibility for their own actions. All games will be mens/womens/mixed doubles. All attendees are expected to behave with mutual respect. Anyone not adhering to this will be asked to leave and payment will not be refunded. Welcome to Grove Park Badminton! Come and play at our bi-weekly sessions, please RSVP your attendance and bring along your racket. MIDDLE INTERMEDIATE LEVEL AND ABOVE ONLY (INCLUDING VISITORS) - Sorry, NO beginners, this club is not suitable for players who cannot serve, smash, hold a strategic rally and clear a shot from the back of the court. We play with quality, feather shuttlecocks only. Please do not attend Badminton if you are feeling unwell at all, or if you or anyone in your household currently has symptoms of any virus. INFORMATION: Sessions cost: £10 for regulars and 'First Timers' (cash or bank transfer, always pay before you play) for 2 hours. Please do not attend unless you have RSVP to reserve a space. If circumstances change, update your RSVP 24 hours before the session so others can fill the space. Nearest station is Leytonstone station on central line or Leytonstone High Street on overground. If you drive, you can park on street nearby (free on Saturday). Central London Badminton Club We are a club run by group of friends. We play Sunday mornings and Thursday evenings badminton at Euston/ Kings Cross and Old Street locations. We play doubles badminton but also cater for singles. We usually play at Somers Town Community Sports Centre ( address: 134 Chalton Street, London NW1 1RX between 10am-12 noon (sometimes till 1pm) on Sundays and usually go for a quick lunch afterwards. We like to play early so that we can still enjoy the weekend with friends and family. During the week on Thursday evenings - we have a session (7:30pm - 9:30pm) at the same venue. And also play at Old Street (Finsbury Leisure Centre) a special session for higher level players (8pm - 10pm) We are looking for new players whose standard is intermediate (mid) and above to join us (sorry no beginners and improvers or lower intermediate players). We like to play for fun; we have great games but not looking for those who play too serious - so no Lee Chong Wei's and Lin Dan's! We want to ensure the quality of play while controlling the standard of the club, this means that players who are not quite up to the standard may be asked politely to leave. We play with quality feathers; cost for two hours is £10, (if we play for three hours the cost will be between £12-£15 depending on number of players participating). IMPORTANT BITS • You will need to bring your own racket, if you need to borrow please message one of the organisers privately. • You will need correct shoes and clothing • Please ensure that you stretch and warm up before and after sessions to prevent injury. • Your are responsible for your own well-being and we and the sports facility representatives will not be responsible for any injury, stolen or damaged property or any other occurrences during our sessions. Clive’s Badminton Social

Clive's Badminton Social brings people together to play badminton. Come and socialize and meet new players with the same interest in badminton. Get fit, stay healthy and have fun!!! We play every Friday evening at the fine facilities of the Globe Academy on Harper Road near Elephant & Castle. Our members come from Meetup, Racketpal and other sources so don't be deterred if the meetup sign-ups seem low. The organisers take care to ensure that everyone gets their share (or more!) of good competitive matches. Therefore we will have to separate advance courts and intermediate players from time to time, this really depends on the numbers of advance players. Our intention is to make sure to keep everyone interested. Clive's badminton social has been running for over 20 years, first in Peckham, and then in Elephant and Castle. With over 35 years of playing badminton, Clive is now looking for more on-court time and so will not be able to help beginners or improvers. As such everyone applying to join the group should be able to sustain a decent and competitive rally. Although some of us can get pretty competitive, all of us want the Social to have a fun and fulfilling atmosphere! The minimum experience required is two years.
