CCC is a climbing collective that provides mental health peer-to-peer support through sessions hosted at local climbing centres. London - We run monthly sessions at Rise Climbing, usually on the first Sunday of every month. Bristol - We run weekly sessions on Monday evenings, alternating between Redpoint Bristol for rope climbing and TCA The Mothership for bouldering. Our aim is to create non-judgemental spaces where climbers and non-climbers can connect, share and listen to better understand their mental health. CCC sessions are open to everyone age 18+. Whether you climb regularly or have never climbed before, you are welcome at our sessions.

Backed by the London Mountaineering Club, the largest British Mountaineering Council ("BMC") affiliated club in London and the South East, this is a group for anyone interested in indoor and outdoor climbing, hill walking, and mountaineering. We hold weekly evenings at the Westway and other climbing walls in London, as well as monthly talks and socials with guest speakers, and other outdoor and social activities in and around the capital. You will find our events in London posted on this meetup. As these are club events, the numbers of attendees listed on the meetup do not in any way reflect the total numbers of participants. Our evenings at the Westway have typically 20-30 participants; and the social evenings may expect 50 attendees. The London Mountaineering Club (www.londonmountaineeringclub.com) holds a full programme of weekend and longer meets around the UK and abroad. We welcome all levels of aspiration and experience; however we are not a training organisation and do not provide formal training. We adhere to the BMC Participation Statement: The BMC recognizes that climbing, hill walking and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement. We look forward to welcoming you!

We're a social group who love climbing and want to make new friends and meet other likeminded people. We're more about having a great time than climbing really hard! New beginners are very welcome and experienced a like. We mainly go bouldering at centres around London and also the occasional trip out of London

About THE CASTLE CLIMBING CENTER has about 135 roped/auto-belays numbered routes with each route having up to 6 grades giving it approx 700 routes in total. THE CASTLE CLIMBING CENTER offers bouldering, top-roping, leading and auto-belays at their center. Some of us prefer bouldering while others will be in the top roping, leading or auto-belaying - this is up to you! We climb for a couple of hours and then the group regroups at 12.00 noon sometimes without me other times with me in The Brownswood pub, 271 Green Lanes, Finsbury Park, London N4 2EX for a spot of lunch and a libation. ( a stone's throw from the castle. Meetups We get together every Thursday & Sunday at THE CASTLE CLIMBING CENTER meeting at 9:00am in the warming up area or else look out for someone wearing a black RAMS t-shirt around the center. If you're joining for the first time let us know via message and we will keep an eye out for you at the start :) New Climbers! Unfortunately, if you haven't climbed before it isn't as easy as just turning up and climbing up the wall. To climb safely you need to understand the hazards and be able to use the equipment correctly. You must have basic climbing skills and know how to put on a harness, attach a rope to a harness using a rethreaded figure of eight(figure of eight on the bight) and know how to use a belay device to pay out the rope and secure a falling climber etc. So before your first climb, you may be required by the climbing center to fill out health and safety forms. This may involve a quick test on climbing rules at the counter on arrival. Please add an extra 10/15 minutes before your session if you need to register for the first time. THE CASTLE CLIMBING CENTER terms and conditions will apply. Please also note signing up for the Meetup session won’t necessarily grant you access to the center. Other communication Within these groups, you are possibly likely to develop long-lasting friendships
