Rocket Yoga is an energetic and invigorating style of Yoga that builds strength and stamina. It was created by the late Larry Shultz with its roots in Ashtanga Vinyasa.The sequence begins with sun salutations followed by standing and seated postures. There are also plenty of opportunities to practice inversions and arm balances.Similar to Ashtanga, there is a strong focus on the breath, bandha (energy lock) and drishti (gaze point). Modifications are offered and students are encouraged to progress at a pace that is right for them. Come along with an open and playful mind.

This calming and relaxing class offers a soothing experience. We begin with a short meditation and some deep breathing, followed by gentle movement to ease tension and increase flexibility, and end with a relaxation such as a 15 minute body scan, a loving kindness meditation or yoga nidra practice (a visualization done laying down). This is an ideal class to cultivate inner calm and balance both body and mind. Classes are suitable for beginners, mats, bolsters and blankets are provided. We are situated in a beautiful studio.
