CamCreatives: Monthly meetups in Cambridge where creativity matters — with guest speakers, panels, interviews and plenty of conversation. CamCreatives is a community for anyone with a creative mindset — whether you paint, design, code, write, perform, invent, or simply love new ideas. Each month we host a relaxed evening with invited guests — artists, designers, technologists, writers, makers, and more. Sometimes it’s a talk, other times an interview or a panel. Whatever the format, you’ll always find inspiration, honest insights, and plenty of time to meet new people over a drink. When: Third Tuesday of every month Where: The Blue Moon, Norfolk Street, Cambridge We’re a welcoming, curious crowd, and new faces join us every month. You won’t be the only newbie, and you don’t need to be a “professional creative” to come along. If you’ve got a story to share or a speaker to suggest, we’d love to hear from you. CamCreatives is about connection, collaboration, and celebrating the many ways creativity shapes our lives.

Cambridge Film Forum

Please join us for a casual evening discussing the new film The Drama. This comedy-drama stars Robert Pattinson and Zendaya as a couple whose upcoming wedding is shaken when one partner reveals an unsettling truth about their past. Early reviews describe The Drama as "deeply complex, incredibly stressful, provocative, and uncomfortably funny". The Drama is released in cinemas on 3 April, and will likely be showing at the Picturehouse and the Light. Please do find a screening that's suitable for you ahead of this event. Etiquette The Alexandra Arms kindly provides us significant seating space at no extra cost, so we encourage everybody to purchase a drink upon arrival. (You can also use the pub's website or scan a QR code to get food and drink delivered to the table.) Meanwhile, we pride ourselves on lively but respectful discussions, and you are welcome to contribute as much or as little as you are comfortable. However, please do stay on topic and give everybody an opportunity to share their thoughts.

Cambridge Awesome Meetup!

Sat
📅 27 Jun 2026
📍 CB5 8DJ

An awesome meetup for awesome people in an awesome city! I don't much mind what it is you want to do - pub, club, restaurant, visit a zoo, abseil through the trees, tour a museum, hunt ghosts in a spooky castle, comedy, theatre, eat chocolate, explore an exciting city, chuck rocks into the sea, party hard.... honestly, I don't much care. I'm up for almost anything, me. If you're enthusiastic about life and you want buddies to do awesome stuff with, this is the place for you! Unlike a lot of groups we have NO restrictions at all on age, nationality, job (or lack of!), race, sexual orientation, political persuasion..... if you want to meet fun people and do fun stuff, that's enough for us! I will work hard to bring you the best events I can, all you need to do is actually turn up!!! Awesome events have the best turn-out you'll find in a meetup group! And the number you see for an event is the number that actually came - unlike other groups I always mark no-shows! Also in contrast with other groups and to help me create awesome events that run as smoothly as possible, sometimes I have to remove members from the group :( I hate to do it and I'm always really really sorry about it, but for the benefit of all members sometimes I have to. In most cases people are more than welcome to rejoin, that's great, I would be overjoyed..... but please do keep in mind the reason I had to remove you. Generally one of: NO SHOWS No-shows make running great events hard. They are disappointing for other members & delay events starts. We have to keep looking out for, and defending chairs & tables for, people that won't appear. They make it impossible to book tables, mean we have to collect money in advance for some events. And frankly, they're just rude :( POOR PICTURE When you come to an event, we need to be able to recognise you - we need to be able to spot you & welcome you, without having to accost strangers! So we need you to have a picture that helps. If you don't have a pic or we can't recognise you from your pic, we can't make joining your first event easier. So we need a clear face pic - not a beach, some flowers, a sunset, your cat. Just one person in the picture please - and no children! INACTIVITY If you've not visited the Cambridge Awesome Meetup site for over 3 months, that means our thrilling selection of awesome events it no longer doing it for you :( So we need to stop spamming you with details of events you're not interested in, and focus on our active members! EXCESSIVE MEMBERSHIPS Awesome Meetup is for active members that come to events. People that are members of many groups tend not to sign up to events, have a very high no-show rate, generally don't read or reply to messages. To make it easier to run awesome, well-attended events I've set a max membership of 20 groups: that's a generous limit and way in excess of what any individual can fully participate in. PREDATORY BEHAVIOUR Fortunately, this is really rare. If I hear complaints of predatory behaviour (generally, gentlemen sending unwelcome messages to ladies they haven't met) I do take action.
