Chilled Out Meetups (Leeds)

All agesSun
📍 LS3 1HD

Note: These women only events are made possible by the attendees and, when available, volunteer hosts. To keep them running we need your assistance by looking out for your fellow members and keeping your RSVP up to date. Although these events normally go ahead without a problem, attendance numbers and issues with the venue (too busy etc.) are outside of our control. Women only social further out from the center with easy parking for members who find this more convenient. This event will take place at Archive which is a cafe. We are not reserving a table, if you arrive first just find somewhere to sit and post a comment to let others know where you are. About the venue Archive is a simple cafe with reasonably priced food and drink options including hearty hot dishes. There's a decent outdoor area as well as indoors, meaning you can make the most of any sunny weather. Getting Here Archive is on Kirkstall Road, a short walk or bus ride from the city centre. On Foot: The venue is a 20 minute walk from city centre, directly down Kirkstall Road. It's also easily walkable from the Kirkstall, Burley and Headingley areas of Leeds. Bus: The venue is a short bus ride from the centre with services leaving every few minutes. There are also some routes that run nearby from other areas of the city. I recommend using Google Maps (selecting the public transport option) or Moovit to see bus times and bus stop locations. Car: The venue is adjacent to Kirkstall Road Car Park. The larger Burley Road Car Park is just a few minutes walk away. The prices at both are very reasonable compared to city centre parking and the amount can be paid on a smartphone (I don't think cash is accepted). Train: The nearest rail station is Leeds.

How To Create A Successful Online Business Working From Home

Tue
📅 25 Aug 2026
📍 LS11 9EA

This group is for people who want to build an online business or side hustle without being misled by hype or unrealistic claims. The emphasis is on practical skills, informed decision-making, and understanding what actually works in today’s online business landscape — particularly print on demand, Etsy selling, and low-overhead digital business models. Alongside training and strategy, we explore the thinking patterns that affect results — such as hesitation, over-researching, fear of getting things wrong, and chasing too many ideas at once. What to expect Live training sessions and webinars hosted by Nigel Wymer Step-by-step guidance on print on demand and Etsy Occasional guest webinars from experienced business owners I personally trust Honest discussion around what not to do, as well as what to focus on This is a practical learning environment, not a motivational hype space. If you want to understand the business properly, make better decisions, and move forward with confidence, you’ll find the sessions useful. All upcoming events are listed here.

HERE & NOW Encounter Group… Authenticity + Connection

Thu
📅 20 Aug 2026
📍 LS8 1ND

Welcome!... I have been going to 'Here and Now' groups for 30 years and continue to be enthusiastic about how the situation provides me with the opportunity to be surprised, to get to know myself, to relate instead of switching off, and to connect with myself and others in unexpected ways. I hope you'll join me in a group meeting soon. Below are some more details about what's on offer here. Richard Mills This group provides a space for people to come together and relate authentically with each other in the 'Here and Now'. The invitation is to: • Stay in the here and now, to stay present, and notice your thoughts and feelings. Try to avoid talking about ‘there and then’. • Say anything you like. • This group has no fixed agenda: allow space for the unexpected. • Experience a group of equals where there is no leader to show you what to do. (The group will be peer-led after each group meeting has started. I, Richard Mills, your host, am an equal participant. Group meetings have a beginning and an end time, but other than that have no structure, so as to allow an open space for the participants to use as they wish: there is no set task or division of roles. The experience will be both interpersonal and intra-personal. This means that there is an element of relating to others in the group, so it's inter-active, but it also provides an opportunity for internal reflection, about how you are, in the moment. The invitation is to avoid saying "What do you do?", "Where do you live?" etc. and instead to explore "What's really going on for me/you, right now?" At times there may be silence in the group broken only when someone feels moved to speak. This group is for those wishing to be part of a supportive environment whilst making authentic connections with others. This group is not a facilitated therapy group, and you are responsible for your own well-being. The group is not suitable for people who are very emotionally fragile or disturbed, nor

Try Quidditch in Leeds!

Tue
📍 LS2 9AD

Come try Quadball! Whether you're a seasoned vet or a brand new player, this is your chance to try a new sport and get involved with an incredible community! Quadball, formerly quidditch, features players on each side aiming to outscore their opponents by throwing a volleyball through one of three opposing hoops, whilst defending their own hoops with tackles or knocking out opponents with dodgeballs - all while on a broom. Short Video on How To Play Quadball These sessions are casual mixed games, and are very beginner friendly, so this is a fantastic opportunity for new people to get involved! Despite our quidditch origins, quadball is very much a sport unto itself and has no relation to or any involvement with Harry Potter or JK Rowling. We celebrate the inclusion of members of the LGBTQ+ community and welcome people of all backgrounds and gender identities to get involved.

📅 15 Aug 2026
📍 LS1 6PJ

Welcome to Leeds Escape Leeds Escape is a diverse group, based in and around Leeds. We are about socialising, building experiences, building friendships and encouraging fitness and well-being. We've a team of experienced and established organisers and hosts, and you can reach out to us anytime. Escape has had some brilliant organisers in the past, and we thank them for building such a big group over many years. We are supporters of other groups, organisers and hosts and wish previous hosts and organisers well. What to expect: Leeds Escape socials are planned in popular venues or parks, close to bus/ train routes, A clear meeting point/ description/ timing of the social & who the host is, Friendly & welcoming host/ members, On occasion we may publish a social event without a host (usually because it's not organised by us), but we've added it on the site for awareness, Any complaints or issues e.g. inappropriate messaging/ fall outs within the group, will be handled by the organiser & a fair/ objective/ factual approach will be taken, Any complaints or issues e.g. personal fallouts, outside of the group can be made to the organiser for awareness only. We do not get involved with anyone else's personal or private situations, Leeds Escape are supportive to other Meetup groups/ organisers & hosts. We do not get involved in harmful gossip or competitive behaviour, What not to expect: Disruption - personal conflicts are to be kept off the group & we would encourage any issues to be discussed & hopefully resolved. If personal conflicts cannot be resolved, then we advise common sense is applied & people do not attend the same socials, We are a safe, inclusive group, therefore, bullying/ harmful gossip/ racism/ sexism/ lewd behaviour/ misogyny is not tolerated & the person will be removed, Cancellations - it's not often we cancel a social, however, if we do it's due to very low numbers/ an issue with the venue or severe weather, * We are
