We're Bristol's largest and most inclusive social group for vegetarians and vegans! The group began life with a focus on sampling the finest vegetarian and vegan cuisine that Bristol and the surrounding areas have to offer. Since then we've diversified to also offer guided walks and assorted social events, including Bristol's only regular vegetarian & vegan board gaming evenings! Everyone is welcome at our events, including those who are not vegetarian, but we ask that everyone engages with the spirit of our events and remains respectful to our vegetarian and vegan members. This is a group for meeting like minded individuals, but it's not a platform for imposing like-mindedness upon others. We're a group of friendly individuals interested in participating in a variety of different activities as part of an inclusive vegetarian and vegan community in Bristol and the surrounding areas. Who we are The Bristol & Gloucestershire 40+ Social Group is a community-based social group facilitated through the Meetup platform. Our aim is simple: to help people aged 40 and over meet new people, make genuine friendships and enjoy social activities together in and around Bristol, Gloucestershire and nearby areas. We organise a wide range of events including meals, pub socials, walks, days out and occasional online events. Events are usually held in public places or commercial venues open to the public. We are very much about quality over quantity. Events are intentionally kept to smaller numbers where possible, as we find this creates a more relaxed welcoming environment where people can chat, connect and feel comfortable. Because of this, events can fill up quickly so it pays to keep an eye on announcements. Who the group is for This group is for adults aged 40 and over who want to get out, be social and enjoy what the local area has to offer. You don’t need to be single to join - couples are welcome. Many members come on their own and our events are designed to be friendly and inclusive, especially for those who may be new to social groups. The group is about building a social circle, doing things together and having fun in a relaxed, pressure-free way. How the group is run Bristol & Gloucestershire 40+ Social Group is run on a voluntary, not-for-profit basis. All events are organised and hosted by unpaid volunteers. Our organisers and hosts are not professional event organisers, guides, leaders, instructors, or first aiders. The group does not provide professional supervision, instruction, or medical support. Events are organised in good faith by volunteers to bring people together socially. Simply Social is a friendly social club based around Bristol and Bath. Our age profile ranges from 40's to 60's but not exclusively so (most think they are younger!). We are a friendly group enjoying social and leisure events organised by our members, our activities are diverse ranging from pub and restaurant events to countryside walks, cinema and theatre visits, cycle rides and badminton, city breaks and holidays. We organise a mid-week pub night known as Club Night which is held in a different pub in and around both Bristol and Bath each week. We are non-profit making and our membership fee is currently £12 per year to cover our administrative, website and Meetup costs. We are a member of a national network of IVC clubs and our membership also includes access to AIVC events. If you would like to try out our club please request to join our free trial membership which enables you to come along to up to six events, you will then be invited to join as a full member. We would suggest a club night or pub night as a first introduction – please email for more info and to be put in touch with the host for that event. Or you can simply add your name to any event and we will look forward to meeting you and be sure to make you feel welcome.

Welcome to Bristol Party People! No age limit, folks will mix with like-minded people regardless of age. Our key principles are for the group to be fun, inclusive, and safe. All of our events have these principles in mind. Note: while we understand folks will meet, we’re not a dating group and ask folks keep that in mind. Any individuals making their own seperate arrangements to meet outside of our events, please do this safely. For updates on the night of events the WhatsApp community group is available to members: We also have Instagram, Facebook and TikTok pages! Like and follow us on those too. The hosts all volunteer their time freely to run the amazing events, making them as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We however will not be held responsible for any loss, injury, damage or any negative nature occured as a result of any activity or event. The hosts do ask if you have any concerns during our events this is raised asap or within 48hrs. If the incident involves 2 or more people we won't judge the situation with any bias and be fair to all parties involved. Members will be removed if their behaviour is deemed inappropriate to the wellbeing of the group as a whole. The hosts want everyone to enjoy the BPP experience and work hard to keep the group positive and welcoming for all. Any behavior that undermines the wonderful kind and fun nature of the group will not be tolerated. We have no place for disrespect, personal attacks, or ongoing negativity towards anyone. The hosts are not obligated in any way to explain why we make the decisions we do, but we would always try to do this as fairly a possible. But, as inline with the Meetup policies, in many cases (e.g., safety concerns, disruptive behavior, or just a bad fit), hosts can opt not to give an explanation - especially if they anticipate conflict or backlash. This is a relaxed social group formed of people from all countries of the world, including the British Isles for those looking to make new friendships. Bristol's most active social group for young professionals! Young and Restless is the greatest club for proactive young adults looking to meet new people and explore the city of Bristol. The group is for 18-35 year olds who want to get out there, make new friends, try something new and get the most out of their social life. Our activities cover everything from monthly pub crawls, salsa dancing, paintballing, badminton, hiking, meals out, cinema nights, live music and so much more.
