Celebrating over 40 years as a live performer, Eddi Reader has effortlessly developed into one of popular music’s most thrilling and affecting performers. Though first brought into the limelight as front woman for Fairground Attraction, who’s #1 single, Perfect topped the British charts, it is Eddi’s subsequent albums that have signaled her ability to assimilate different musical styles and make them her own. What sets Eddi apart is the depth and quality of the emotional performance and ability to not only move the listener, but connect her experience to that of her audience. No two performances are ever the same. “One of my favourite singers of all time” Jools Holland “Just perfect – Eddi Reader gets every song just right” The Sunday Times “Flawless, not just perfect, world class” R2 Magazine “Timeless and universal” The Scotsman ONLY TERRACE AND ARENA TICKETS AVAILABLE. Gamers Touch Grass Glasgow

Sat
📅 Every saturday
📍 G4 9BS

Gamers Touch Grass Glasgow is a relaxed social group for people who spend a bit too much time online and want an easy way to get out, get some fresh air, and meet like-minded people. At the core, we organise casual group walks — a simple, low-pressure way to get outside, move a bit, and have some easy conversation. No awkward networking, no expectations, just a chilled environment where you can show up as you are. But it’s not just about walking. After walks, we’ll often grab a coffee, and over time we’ll mix in other low-key hangouts — whether that’s casual meetups, food, or even the odd gaming session. The aim is simple: – Get out of the house – Get some fresh air – Meet people you actually get on with – Build real friendships over time Whether you’re into casual gaming, competitive play, retro classics, or just spend a lot of time at a screen, you’re welcome here. You don’t need to be a “hardcore gamer” — if the idea of a relaxed group and good company appeals, you’ll fit right in. All are welcome — any age, any background, all genders, all gaming tastes. Most people will be turning up solo, so you won’t be the odd one out. This is about keeping things friendly, laid-back, and consistent — a group you can drop into regularly, get to know people, and feel part of over time. If you’ve been meaning to get out a bit more and meet some decent people, this is a very easy place to start.

We are a friendly, welcoming group between 20 and 50 years old who love a good coffee/tea/hot drink of your choice, good chat, do things together - from trying great independent cafes to visiting local events and exploring Glasgow and beyond - and make new friends along the way. Perfect for anyone who is new in town or a longtime locals who want to make new friends and get out more. 🤔 Why join Coffee Connections? 👍🏻 We are a friendly bunch - we welcome any good person from any background. 👍🏻 Our meetups are smaller sized than other groups: easier to make a connection and in turn, better chance of making new friends. 👍🏻 Our meetups are laid back, casual and informal - no awkward icebreakers, contrived formats or similar BS. 👍🏻 You help support local businesses - we prioritise using independent cafes and coffee shops. 👍🏻 We don't just visit cafes. We go for relaxed walks, attend local events, explore Glasgow and beyond, visit the cinema and more. Sometimes we even co-host meetups with other groups. 👍🏻 Regular meetups = we meet at least twice a month (sometimes more depending on what is going on). 👍🏻 Our meetups are free - why pay to make new friends when friendships are priceless? 😉 😊I'm interested! How do I join? ❕Great! Click request to join and answer our questions so we can understand what your expectations are! ❕We need to see your face in your profile photo (sorry no avatars, AI influenced photos or any photo that doesn't show your face) otherwise your request will be rejected. This keeps our community safe and helps us recognise you in your first meetup with us. ❕This group is primarily for those living in and around Glasgow. If you are from further afield you are welcome to join but we expect you to be able to travel to our meetups without major difficulty. ❕Your request to join can be accepted or rejected entirely at the discretion of the group organiser(s). ❔Any questions? Please visit the Meetup support page if you need further assistance. ✅ Change your RSVP in plenty of time, according to the meetup rules. It's courteous to fellow group members and also helps the organisers with planning and gauging potential attendance. ✅ If you need to cancel on the day due to an unforeseen reason (e.g. illness, childcare, family emergency, etc.) send a courtesy DM to the meetup host ASAP ✅ Attend at least one meetup in a 12 month period if you wish to remain a member otherwise you can be removed from the group. This helps us focus on our active members. ❗Coffee Connections group rules: no show rule❗ ❗Our no show rule ensures everyone gets a fair chance to attend our meetups, especially if they are in high demand. ❗No showing is also disrespectful to fellow group members and organiser(s) who make a considerable time and financial investment in hosting meetups during their free time. ❗You are a no show if: ❌ You do not change your RSVP to not going AND don't attend the meetup ❌ You change your RSVP on the day of the meetup WITHOUT the courtesy on the day cancellation DM ❌Your reason for cancelling on the day is deemed foreseeable, e.g. forgot about the meetup, choosing other pre-arranged plans instead or any other foreseeable reason. ❗A no show lasts for 12 months - once the 12 month period expires, it is no longer included in your no show count. ❗3 no shows within a 12 month period? You can be permanently removed from Coffee Connections by the group organiser(s). ❕Life gets in the way, we get that! Try to avoid being a no show by changing your RSVP anytime up until the day before or DM the meetup host on the day. We appreciate courteous and clear communication, not flaking and ghosting.

Mad Hatters Walks and Adventures

Sat
📅 29 Aug 2026
📍 G43 2YB

Welcome to the Mad Hatters, a social and outdoors activities group for grown ups.  Its all in the name.  If you like the outdoors, fun and laughter, and a mixed bag of activities then this is the Group for you.  The Fun Bit... Based in and around Glasgow we're a group of friendly, whimsical types. Like the Mad Hatter himself we can be loud and eccentric, but also rather charming.  Where we are most alike though is in the fact that we are never, ever, complimented on our singing.  The group is run for and by the members, it's not just for the hosts.   We're a group of like minded people that love getting out and about socialising.  We've learned that life is too short to take seriously, and who can be bothered with all the drama anyway.   So with some fun and laughter along the way and a mix of members just like Alice in Wonderland then we have the perfect characters to ensure that the group continues to be a success. We're a varied mix of members, some are long term residents, some are relatively new to Glasgow or Scotland and some are just after a change of lifestyle.   What we all have in common is that we love getting out and about, either in the great outdoors or socialising, and meeting new people.   We've all made new friends in the group, and we'd like to ensure that every member does the same.   So suggestions are always welcome either through the group on Meetup or on the Mad Hatters Facebook page.   If you fancy doing something let us know, however crazy you think it might be.    So, your hosts would like to welcome you to our events, we hope you enjoy them as much as we do and if you enjoy your experiences with Mad Hatters we only ask that you spread the word that the Mad Hatters are here to stay .... :-P For those who enjoy their social media experience, you can find us on Facebook too under groups: Mad Hatters Walks and Adventures. **The Boring

Glasgow Law Of Attraction and The Real You

Glasgow Law Of Attraction and The Real You

Tue
📅 Every tuesday
📍 G2 6AH

Welcome to Glasgow Law Of Attraction and The Real You! The Law Of Attraction, nowadays, is very popular and commonly taught, and with very good reason! Whether approached from a scientific, philosophical, or spiritual perspective, the ability to be fully empowered in creating our life experience is a very real and joyful one, and I'm very happy to see that more and more people are releasing old ideas, integrating the wisdom/perspectives, and enjoying this power to live more meaningful, connected, enjoyable, and fulfilling life experiences as a result! :-) However, not many of the teaching perspectives that currently exist really emphasise the main purpose and benefit of learning about and integrating this wisdom......the process of realising and becoming the Real You! As human beings, we each have a unique purpose, a unique experience, unique passions, and a unique skill-set……and, much more importantly, a deeper nature to our self, of which most of us are unaware even exists! There is a part of us (which is ultimately our true nature!), from which arises immeasurable peace, love, joy, growth, fulfilment, empowerment, wisdom, purpose, passion, abundance, creativity, confidence, and a sense of feeling whole, complete, fulfilled and at home in this world, regardless of what is currently in our life experience!! It is the true nature of every human being and all things, and we are here to realize it, feel it, be it, and have it be the awareness from which we allow our unique, amazing, wonderful self and life experience to emerge/unfold/arise! When utilising the powerful effects of the Law Of Attraction from this place and perspective, not only are we enjoying the experience that we want to have, but we are also fulfilling our true life purpose of aligning with and becoming who we really are! :-) The Glasgow Law Of Attraction & The Real You Group exists as a vehicle to inspire, support and facilitate personal growth and expansion, and and also to bring like-minded people together to create community! There will be regular Meditation & Development group classes, and occasional group workshops. At any Glasgow Law Of Attraction and The Real You event, a safe, peaceful, fun and loving space is provided where you can be inspired to find this true-nature place within yourself, and align with and further integrate the workings of the Law Of Attraction, as is guidance and support in doing so, and in your life experience in general! Although this journey to realizing and becoming your true nature and your true self is one that is ultimately undertaken by you and you alone, the group environment at each event is of immense value and benefit! We are all connected in the most amazing way, and for those of you who additionally wish to have the experience, it is a great space to make connections and companions with like-minded and resonant people along the way! Thank you for visiting this page, and I look forward to meeting you at an event soon! :-) Love and best wishes, Gordon x www.gordonrainey.com
