Leeds Good Times Over 30 Meetup Group

Sat
📅 15 Aug 2026
📍 LS1 5ER

Welcome👋 The aim of this group is to have a monthly meet up for people over the age of 30. My sister (Jess) and I, have found that it can be quite difficult to meet new people at this stage of life and a lot of social activities seem to revolve around drinking. We are here to provide an alternative! Activities will include city walks🚶‍, country walks🚶‍, meals, bowling🎳, cinema trips🍿, picnics 🧺(weather dependent), mini golf 🏌 and anything else we think will be fun. Jess also has a very energetic Double Doodle 🐶(they exist... a cross between a Cockapoo and a Labradoodle) that would love to partake in some of the activities. This aims to be a very inclusive group and we would like to have members from all walks of life to be able to meet up and have fun. Hopefully many friendships will be made and different activities discovered and enjoyed. The age is just a guideline and if you think you will enjoy what we organise then feel free to come along! We are a social group and organise different social events so please respect this. We are not trained counsellors or here to offer mental health advise. If you require this please find a different group which offers this. Please be respectful to each other no discrimination will be tolerated and if you feel uncomfortable at all speak to one of the hosts. We want everyone to have a good experience at our events and to enjoy themselves. We look forward to seeing you at our next event! Robin and Jess

For more details on this, what to bring,  and so much more, please see the 'pages, section which can be seen on the website by visiting the group's 'about' page, selecting 'photos' then selecting 'more', then 'pages'. WE ENDEAVOUR TO GIVE A FULL DESCRIPTION OF WHAT TO EXPECT ON EACH WALK. PLEASE ENSURE YOU ALWAYS READ THE FULL LISTING BEFORE YOU RSVP. Please note - our event hosts are volunteers without formal walk-leader qualifications and we don't have insurance. We do recce our walks to make sure the route is safe for a group and to enable us to give you an accurate description of the event. We’re a not for profit group. We ask for a donation of £1 per walk to cover meetup site fees and travel costs, any remaining funds have latterly been donated to The Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association. Leeds 20s, 30s & 40s Meetup

Thu
📅 20 Aug 2026
📍 LS1 9TS

Leeds 20s, 30s & 40s Meetup is a social group aimed at young people who wish to make new friends. It is an inclusive group which always welcomes and encourages new members, who are welcome on any of our events! We have a team of dedicated event organisers who will personally design and host all our events, be there to help and welcome arrivals and manage the event to ensure you have the best experience. Whether you are new to the area, want to expand your social network or you're in need of a new group of friends, hopefully this group will be for you. Our aim is to get you all out, making new friends and enjoying a wide range of events, whether it be nights out, meals, bowling, cinema, walks, day trips out... or just anything you can think of - our event organisers welcome suggestions! As our group's events are popular, sometimes organisers set a RSVP limit due to size of venue etc. - once an event is full there will be a waiting list, but if someone drops out the first person on the waiting list will automatically gain a place. So please keep checking the list and change your RSVP if you can no longer make it, to allow someone else to come in your place. It is important that you update your RSVP in good time if you cannot attend an event as it means that others can then come in your place. Please be advised that unfortunately we will have to decline any requests to join the group from members without a profile picture that clearly displays their face. This is so that we can recognise attendees at our events. Feel free to message the organisers with any questions, or any suggestions you may have for events and we will do our best to accommodate. So, ready for some fun? :) Like us on Facebook: \[ 20s and 30s\)

If you have followed our naming requirements, you should then hear back from us within 1-2 days. Thank you. For example "Joe 247" or "Joe B".  This doesn't have to be your surname, but can include numbers and/or letters after your first name. Also, the photo should not include others, it should be you alone as it’s how we will be able to identify you at an event. A single name or group photo WILL BE DECLINED. We request that you always:- RSVP to events (at least 24 hours prior to event if possible) if you wish to attend so that the host knows who is coming. Hello 👋💜💛💚❤️ Please click "see all" on the home-page (below). You will find a variety of socials from drinks nights, movies, lunches, museum afternoons, Christmas markets, themed events. We choose popular, well known venues close to public transport. We understand people can often feel nervous, which is why all our events are organised by our experienced hosting tea. Our aim is for member's to have a good experience, so please ensure you have a good profile photo so we know who to look out for & we ask that you're courteous & respectful to fellow Socialiser's. What to expect: Socials planned in popular venues, close to bus/ train routes, A clear meeting point/ description/ timing of the social & who the host is, Friendly & welcoming host/ members, On occasion we may publish a social event without a host (usually because it's not organised by us), but we've added it on the site for awareness, Any complaints or issues e.g. inappropriate messaging/ fall outs within the group, will be handled by the organiser & a fair/ objective/ factual approach will be taken, Any complaints or issues e.g. personal fallouts, outside of the group can be made to the organiser for awareness only. We do not get involved with anyone else's personal or private situations, We are supportive to other Meetup groups/ organisers & hosts. We do not get involved in harmful gossip or competitive behaviour, What not to expect: Disruption - personal conflicts are to be kept off the group & we would encourage any issues to be discussed & hopefully resolved. If personal conflicts cannot be resolved, then we advise common sense is applied & people do not attend the same socials, We are a safe, inclusive group, therefore, bullying/ harmful gossip/ racism/ sexism/ lewd behaviour/ misogyny is not tolerated & the person will be removed, Cancellations - it's not often we cancel a social, however, if we do it's due to very low numbers/ an issue with the venue or severe weather, We are also not a professional support group e.g. counselling/ mental health conditions, nor are we a business, however, we can help you find an alternative group if required, Ratings: Meetup have a ratings system to help organisers have visibility of member feedback, Meetup PROMPT members on how to rate the social. It's advisable you use this to rate fairly e.g. the social started on time/ welcoming host/ good description/ felt safe etc, Misleading ratings are - I was cold/ the beer was too expensive/ I was having a bad day, but you do a great job/ the bar was busy/ I couldn't find the venue (because the updates hadn't been read by the member), Disclaimer (the serious bit!): We want everyone to have an enjoyable social and we aim to choose the best venues & locations. Attending our socials is at your own discretion & we advise that you read the social description/ meeting location/ time of the social meetup/ updated meetup comments & familiarise yourself with the host & the guest list. Many of our drinks socials will be hosted during set times e.g. 5pm till 9pm, so if you arrive later, please ensure you have read the comments in case the group have moved on. We are NOT responsible for the member's journey to the social, the member finding the venue, any purchases made by the member e.g. food, drinks, tickets. We do not tolerate racist, sexist, misogynistic, lewd, aggressive or bullying behaviour. We also are not a group that spreads misinformation or harmful gossip about other members OR others hosts and groups. If this happens, the individual(s) will remove you from the group. We also advise people not to bring personal conflict with others into the group as this can cause disruption. Any comments published that are discourteous to others or undermine the host will be deleted. We are NOT responsible for clashes of personality or differences of opinion and if this happens at the social we advise you to walk away & converse with someone else. Plus one's (guests) are welcome on the group, however it's important that people attending socials know who they are meeting, so we would ask that any guests DO join the group after attending at least one social. Thanks and enjoy the socials! Julie and the Meet and Mingle Friendship Group hosting team :-)
