Forest Families Festival
Come along to our Forest Families Festival, bring a picnic to our longer session and enjoy more time exploring and having fun with friends. As always we will be cooking something on the fire for snack but who knows what it might be, elder flower fritters, brownies in nettles or good old smores. Activities will be available for mixed ages including tool use and fire lighting along with all our normal activities. Forest School is an opportunity to learn through experimentation in the mud kitchen, balancing and climbing on our obstacle course and swinging on the tree swinging. Working on their fine motor skills with natural paint brushes and picking up leaves as well as those gross motor skills like digging in the soil hill. There will be an emphasis on free play rather than focused activities. The aim is to allow both children and parents/carers to enjoy being in nature, to give adults a chance to meet new people and relax as much as giving children opportunities to play freely and socialise. Being a mum myself I know what is important, which is why the cost is kept to a minimum and includes a snack and water (hot chocolate in the colder months) for children along with a hot drink for adults. We also have a camping toilet and a hand washing station too. Please do let us know if you or your children have any dietary needs.
