This week we’ll be returning to help out at the Independent Newham Users’ Forum (INUF) – a user-led mental health charity based in Stratford. INUF supports people living with mental health challenges in the borough of Newham. Their community hub at Ithaca House hosts a wide range of wellbeing activities including drop-ins, yoga, art, dance and other sessions that help people connect, express themselves and thrive. The garden space provides a safe, calming environment that supports wellbeing, social connection and therapeutic activities, and tidying it will make it more accessible and enjoyable for everyone who uses it. Tasks are likely to include: Weeding beds and borders Clearing fallen leaves and debris Pruning overgrown plants Tidying pathways Preparing planting areas Everyone is welcome to join - no previous experience is required and all tools and instructions will be provided. How to join There are two ways to join: Option 1 – Run from the Freaks & Geeks (sign-up above) We’ll leave together at 18:40 to run to the task - we may take a scenic route through West Ham park! Option 2 – Meet at the task Meet us directly at Ithaca House at 19:00. Whichever option you choose, we’ll spend around an hour helping in the garden. Come along for some fresh air, teamwork and the chance to make a real difference to a community space. 🌱
