Groundwork at Moulton
Summer groundwork series! 3 different themes spread over summer open to all horses from youngsters to retired horses and everything in-between! Find out techniques to get the most out of your individual horse from the ground. These sessions run in groups of 3 for 45 mins. July 1st - Inhand Polework 45 min sessions on how to make the most out of polewotk from the ground. Great for young horses, those rehabbing, older horses to help maintain suppleness and ridden horses that needs a little more awareness of their body and posture to improve performance - theres something for everyone! July 22nd - Spook busting Using equine learning theory to help build your horses confidence and trust within your partnership. Learn techniques using the latest behaviour science in how to help your horses through tricky situations safely while building long term resilience in your partnership. August 19th - Inhand lateral work Is your horse new to lateral work or struggling to understand the questions asked of them? Would you as a rider like to understand the aids and biomechanics of simple lateral movement such as shoulder in and leg yield? And how yo use ewuine learning theory to train these movemenrs?This is a inhand clinic aimed at ridden horses but open to youngsters or older horses needing support with their suppleness and range of movement. These clinics are all non ridden. Handlers must wear suitable footwear and hats to current standard. Gloves are recommended. Horses can be in a bridle or headcollar but must be within your control. Im happy for 2 year old + to join these sessions but they must be well handled, and for very young horses sessions are likely to be shorter. Horses that are currently rehabbing please speak to the professionals involved in their care, who are welcome to contact me.
