Home Education/Inclusive Swim
A general swim session specifically for:
• Home-educated children and families
• Young people with SEND or additional needs
• Those who benefit from a calmer, more flexible setting
• Parents or carers seeking a supportive environment
The session is 90mins so there is plenty of time to come in, sit and get used to the surrounds, swim and get changed afterwards. It is capped at 40 swimmers, with two lifeguards on duty. It will feel spacious in the pool because it will be - even on a lovely, sunny day! Our cafe, seating area and green space do not need to be booked.
Price
Under 5s are free.
Join us in supporting your local swimming pool CIC. Our ticket pricing follows a“pay what you can afford” approach, ensuring everyone can take part. Children under 5 can enter for free, but please remember to book their space in advance. If you’re able, we encourage you to consider making an additional donation—every extra pound helps keep the pool running for the whole community, and with Gift Aid, your generosity goes even further at no extra cost to you.
For example, a standard entry is £5. If you wish, you can add a donation of £1.50, making your total payment £6.50, and with Gift Aid, this brings an extra 33p to the pool. Similarly, a £2.50 donation on top of your entry brings your total to £7.50, and Gift Aid adds another £8.13. A £3.50 donation is £9.38. Every ticket and donation, big or small, truly helps to keep our doors open for all.
Timings
The session is for one hour. However, if the following session is quiet, lifeguards may allow longer swims. This is based of lifeguards discretion.
Age range
Open to all ages, however under 8s must be accompanied by an adult.
Ratios:
1 adult (16+) can bring up to 2 children under 8 (U4s must wear an attached buoyancy aid)
For U4s without an attached buoyancy aid, the ratio is 1 adult: 1 child
ALL U8 non-swimmers must be within arm’s reach of a responsible adult at all times and must not go beyond the non-swimmers sign.
All U8s will be classed as non-swimmers until they have passed the lifeguard’s U8 swimmers test (please see Lifeguards for more info. These tests will only be conducted at lifeguard’s convenience).
The duty Lifeguard’s decisions on access and usage are final.
