Highlights of the walk include where the famous album cover for The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper was created and where The Beatles attended at the photographic studio, where Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren started the Sex Clothes Punk Shop along with members of The Sex Pistols (Pictured)
Mary Quant's Bazaar (home of the miniskirt), Where Judy Garland, Marc Bolan and Jim Kerr (Simple Minds were married), homes of Bob Marley, David Bowie, The Eagles, Mick Jagger, Mama Cass (Mamas and Papas), The Rolling Stones and Diana Dors (iconic 50's scarlett)
A building that inspired The Rolling Stones 'You Can't Always Get What You Want', venue where Lou Reed, Queen, Thin Lizzy, Eric Clapton performed, where Bill Wyman met The Stones and Johnny Rotten met The Sex Pistols, a psychedelic famous clothes shop of the 60's and where a real giant Tiger roamed on the main road of Chelsea past the psychedelic shopin the 60's, where John Lennon took Yoko Ono on their first date.
WHERE TO MEET
(Please allow 15 minutes to arrive before departure time)
Walk starts and ends at Sloane Square Underground Station, Please meet outside the front of the station. Toilets next door at Royal Court Theatre, there is also a cafe there downstairs.
COST
£10 cash/card payment by simply turning up on the day. There is no charge to RSVP beforehand on the Meetup event. Walks are normally 90% full before the day, so an early RSVP is advisable to avoid disappointment.
