Stay and Play - Early Years - DANE BANK - Summer 2

Kids Go Wild Forest School

🌿 Outdoor Stay & Play Sessions – Forest School Fun for All Ages 🌿 Our Forest School sessions are designed for babies, toddlers, and children up to 5 years old (with special sessions for home-educated children aged 5+). Sessions run completely outdoors in all weathers (except high winds) at Dane Bank Green Space, Reddish Vale. ✨ What to Expect: Welcome Circle – introductions & our β€œYou’re Welcome Here Today” song. Free Play & Exploration – around 45–60 minutes of child-led discovery in the natural environment, with opportunities to climb, balance, build, and get muddy! Bushcraft & Creative Play – older children can try hands-on forest activities, while babies enjoy sensory play with nature and tuff trays. Campfire & Snack – every session ends gathered around the fire with a drink and a snack. πŸ‘Ά For All Ages: Non-mobile babies – discounted tickets available. Mobile babies – perfect for those learning to stand and walk with support. Toddlers & preschoolers – develop confidence, communication, and physical skills in the great outdoors. Newborns under 1 – free when attending with an older sibling (in sling/buggy). 🌦 Why Parents Love It: Sessions last 1 hour 45 minutes – plenty of time for children to explore while adults join in too. Build friendships, independence, and resilience in nature. Experience the seasons, the weather, and the joy of being outdoors together. Two parents/carers welcome per child. πŸ’š Our Ethos: Forest School is about giving children time, space, and freedom to develop through hands-on, outdoor play. Many families who start with Stay & Play go on to join our full Forest School Nursery community. πŸ“ Location: Dane Bank Green Space – a mostly flat site, sometimes muddy (so bring wellies!). We kindly request all families attending our site at Dane Bank to avoid parking on the lane leading to the green space during drop-off and pick-up for forest school. Please consider using the parking facilities at Denton West End Library or along Windsor Road. Families with children who have SEND needs are permitted to drive into the green space car park. Should the green space car park be full please turn around and exit, there can be damage made to the grass when the car park is completely full. Please speak with staff on this should you need to. As we enter winter months driving on the grass can cause multiple damage and upsets our landlord. πŸ“œ Please see our terms & conditions and refund policy before booking.
