BATHEASTON HOME-ED May: How does my heart work? 🫀

📅 20 May 2026
📍 BA1 7EP

Every Curious Kids we explore a real question from a real curious kid! A bit about Curious Kids: All children are curious and ask amazing questions as they discover the world around them. Curious Kids explores children's questions with hands-on science. Each Curious Kids the children do their own hands-on experiment or activities to help answer the question, make themed crafts to embed their learning, play with our sensory tray and have lots of fun! Run by Curious Kids founder, scientist and mum, Sophie. 👋 I love to dress up, and will often be in an outfit to match our question. You are always very welcome to join me in dressing up to! When you arrive there will be 3 activities set up for your curious kid to explore at their own pace. These include a sensory tray (e.g. a sensory pond) and 2 craft activities. Having time to explore at their own pace allows curious kids to settle and build their confidence in their new surrounding before coming together as a group. Once everyone has arrived, I do a quick hello and we split into 2 groups (by age). Each group will take it in turns to explore the question we are answering and do a hands-on experiment or activity to help answer the question. The other group continue with the crafts and sensory tray during this time. We end with a themed physical activity, often using our parachute, and a story. Before each Curious Kids I will email you some specific information about your Curious Kids so your children knows what to expect. I will also include a suggestion on what your curious kid (and you!) may like to wear! If you would like to know any more about Curious Kids please have a look on our facebook page: facebook.com/curiouskidsuk where there are photos of previous Curious Kids or contact Sophie at I cannot wait to explore with you!
