✨ The Very Hungry Caterpillar – Family Forest School Session 🐛🍎🔥

Join us for a magical outdoor adventure inspired by the much-loved The Very Hungry Caterpillar 🌿

Our family forest school sessions are all about exploring, playing, and connecting with nature at our beautiful Dane Bank site. This special themed session will bring the story to life through a mix of guided activities and plenty of child-led free play.

🐛 Themed activities may include:

Creating your own hungry caterpillars using natural materials
Exploring a “food trail” just like in the story 🍓🍊
Sensory play and messy exploration inspired by the caterpillar’s journey
Simple crafts and storytelling moments woven throughout the session

🌿 Alongside this, children can freely explore our site, including:

Hammocks for relaxing and swinging
Playhouse and tunnels for imaginative play
Mud kitchen for messy fun
Swings, water play, and lots more to discover

These sessions are open to all ages, but are especially loved by babies and children up to 6 years old. We create a calm, welcoming environment where children can explore at their own pace, with parents staying and enjoying the experience alongside them.

🔥 To finish…
We’ll gather together around the campfire to enjoy a warm snack and drink, before settling down to share the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar together — the perfect cosy ending to our time in the woods.

💚 We can’t wait to welcome you for a relaxed, nature-filled session full of play, discovery, and connection.
