Welcome to Adventures Await Social Group. We’re delighted to share that our group is now called Adventures Await Social Group. While our name has changed, what we stand for hasn’t. We’re still an inclusive, friendly community where everyone is welcome. Whether you’re looking to meet new people, try something different, or simply enjoy good company, you’ll find a place with us. We believe there’s always something lovely ahead when you step out of the door, when you join in with others , and see where the day can take you. The day doesn’t have to feel ordinary—or lonely. A simple coffee, a walk, a film, a shared meal, or even just a conversation can turn into the highlight of your week. So why not join us? Come as you are, and let’s make everyday moments a little more meaningful—together. Adventures Await… and it starts with us together. Everyone is responsible for their own health and safety. Our organisers are hosting events as volunteers for our members and do not hold any qualifications or insurance. Events are described with relevant information including the location. You will need to decide if the events are suitable for you. If an event requires payment ie theatre shows or cinema visits this is to be paid when you put your name down for an event as the tickets have to be purchased. If a deposit is required for an event this is asked on behalf of the venue to secure our booking. Thank you for your interest in our group and it would be great have you join as a member. Any suggestions you have for events you would like can be suggested here or maybe you fancy hosting an event yourself? HELLO Thank you for taking a look at our group 🙂 The group hosts events mainly in Plymouth,m South Devon, as well as in Cornwall Dorset, Somerset and further afield for special events during the year.🌳 A friendly inclusive group for anyone and everyone who would like to meet up for friendship, fun, laughter and companionship.😆 Meetup was a fantastic idea that started in America in June 2002 after 9/11 to bring communities together. Scott Heiferman - Wikipedia Meetup - Wikipedia Whatever your circumstances whether you've recently moved to the area, or that your social life just needs a boost then please join us.🙂 Nikki started the group in April 2019 to make friends and get out and about a little more with her dog. Since then it's grown and together we aim to provide a wide range of events for everyone to enjoy. We tend to keep the events to a limited number of people, with the exception of a few such as walks, to allow good conversation and so it's not quite so daunting. There might be the odd exception to this but generally we have found from member feedback people prefer smaller groups.🙂 WHAT WE DO Some of the things we do are walks around our beautiful local area, National Trust houses and gardens, meals, coffee mornings, cinema, days out to places of interest, historic tours, live music. visiting fares and exhibitions, organised local trips. escape rooms, outdoor pursuits, spa days, weekends away az well as the odd holiday abroad too! Ideas are most welcome and appreciated. We always listen to our members and do our very best to include your suggestions. We like trying out new things and visiting new places.🌳⛵ Members expect to be treated with respect and kindness. About Us This group is aimed at people in their 20’s and 30’s in (or around) Plymouth, who want to meet with new, like-minded people and make some connections. We know it can be hard to find things to do for our age group, and a lot of meetup groups tend to cater to an older crowd. We thought it would be nice to have something for us youngsters! 😎 There are regular events, such as: Brunches, Boardgame Nights, Walks, After Work Drinks, Clubbing and Local Events. We are always open to new suggestions, so just let us know what you would like to see! Socials: Instagram and Facebook RULES OF OUR GROUP Please read the following rules. We want to make sure you and everyone else enjoys their time with us, and abiding by these rules will be a great help towards achieving that. Please be respectful to, and mindful of, each other. Behaviours such as bullying, harassment, discrimination etc. are unacceptable and will be dealt with accordingly. If a member is experiencing any of these issues, then please contact the event organisers so we can help. All members to have a clear profile picture and full first name (We need to know that you’re a real person!). Members will be expected to keep their RSVP updated. If you cannot attend, please update us or you will be recorded as a ‘No Show’. Members are allowed to bring one guest to limited space events and can bring more for events with no limit. The member is responsible for informing the guest of our group rules, as well as keeping their RSVP updated. We operate on a three-strike rule. Any member that gets three strikes will be removed. For serious incidents we reserve the right to remove members immediately. These rules are in place to ensure everyone is safe, comfortable and having fun.
