We bring together friendly, open-minded people aged 40+ across Northamptonshire and nearby areas who want to enjoy life, make genuine connections, and try new things, in good company.

We host a wide range of events throughout Northamptonshire — from Towcester to Kettering and everywhere in between.
Here’s a flavour of what you can expect:

We’re always open to new ideas — if there’s something you’d love to do, let us know or step forward to host!
This is an active group. Once accepted, we encourage regular attendance to keep the
community thriving.
👋 Expectations of Our Organisers and Hosts
Our organisers and hosts are the beating heart of the Phoenix community.
We hold them to high standards to make sure every event is a positive, inclusive, and
well-managed experience.
Phoenix organisers and hosts are expected to:
Be friendly, approachable, and welcoming to all members, especially newcomers.
Create a positive, upbeat atmosphere — no cliques, no drama.
Clearly communicate event details, updates, and logistics.
Be organised, responsive, and proactive with RSVPs.
Represent the group’s values at all times.
We ask members to support our hosts and treat them with the same respect and warmth they bring to each event.
📜 Membership & Terms
To help cover admin costs and keep the group sustainable, we charge a £6 annual fee, running from September to August. The first month is free, but you must attend at least one event during this time.
Once you're a member, here’s what we expect:
✅ Member Guidelines
You must have a clear, full-faced profile photo,
Please include your first name and at least the initial of your surname,
You must live in or near Northamptonshire,
Be respectful and kind in all interactions — both at events and online,
Let your host know if you’re unable to attend an event you RSVP’d to.
⚠ Attendance Rules
To keep the group active and fair for all:
3 no-shows without changing your RSVP may result in removal.
No event attendance for 3+ months may also lead to removal.
If you’re struggling to attend due to personal reasons, just let us know — we’re human too.
💬 Communication & Conduct
Unsolicited private messages between members are not allowed. If this happens, please report it immediately.
Organisers must be able to message members directly.
Abuse, harassment, or inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate removal and ban.
➕ Bringing a Guest?
You can bring a +1 to some events at the host’s discretion.
They must be named when RSVPing.
A guest may attend up to 3 events in 6 months before they’ll need to join as a full member.
(£6 fee applies immediately — no free month)

the group as well as refuse a
member or guest of a member the right to attend an event.
Phoenix is run by volunteers who give up their time to create a space where people feel safe, welcome, and connected.
We’re not a dating group, we’re not a business, and we’re not into drama.
We are — proudly — a group of everyday people making life a little brighter, one event at a time.
