Welcome to Winchester Connections ! Looking to meet new people, make new friends or just want to try out some different activities ? We are a new group with plans to get people together, organise and take part in regular events such as : Walks, Meals, Theatre/Cinema Trips, Sports Events, Pub Quizzes, Live Music, Games Nights & Much more. Membership numbers will be reviewed on a regular basis, anyone that has not visited the site in four months will be removed along with anyone who has had three no shows without comment. It is important that if you are unable to attend or are likely to be late you communicate that to us. You assume personal responsibility on all group walks. You should evaluate your level of fitness to participate in any event and ensure that you wear clothing and footwear appropriate to the terrain and weather conditions. No one connected to or part of this group will be held liable for any injury that may occur during this activity.

This group is aimed at anyone roughly in the 20s to 40s age range around Winchester and surrounding areas, although anyone is welcome! We organise a bunch of different social events each month that you are welcome to attend. Come along, make new friends, have fun, do stuff! WHAT'S GOING ON?  We have regular Meetups throughout the year like drinks nights and pub quizzes - both of which are a great way for new members to meet and mingle. We also keep a regular calendar of seasonal events including:  \ SUMMER: Hat Fair Saturday / A big group picnic/lawn games day \ AUTUMN: Halloween / Bonfire Night events \ WINTER: Secret Santa Sunday Lunch / German Market Meetups  Alongside that, we have regular Saturday nights out. Favourites in the past have included:  \ Geocaching walks \ Restaurant dinners \ Board game nights \ Lazy day pub gatherings \ Cinema outings WANT TO BE AN ORGANISER?  If you'd like to get involved in posting and hosting on a regular basis, let us know on the site or at a Meetup.

CHEARS stands for Central Hampshire Entertainment, Arts, Recreational and Social Meetup group. If you’re new to the area, just want to make some new friends or to try out different activities, you’re invited to join us at CHEARS. We were formed in 2012 for active adults with a positive view of life and varied interests. With the support of the the group's organisers, event hosts and you as participants, CHEARS arranges regular events, including walks, meals, theatre trips, pub quizzes, book groups, live music and much more. Check out the calendar of varied events scheduled. Hosting events The group has a treasurer/ lead organiser (Gail) and a co-organiser (Paula) who host some events, but this group relies on its members to host other events. We welcome offers to host via or message throughteh site.
