Tonight there is a change of plan. We will split into two teams to help two smaller, grassroots charities. Growbaby supports families with kids aged 0-5 and has lots of donations to sort though. We will also be moving up items that need to head to the tip. Hestia supports people with mental health conditions and has a great facility with the Good Energy Club. They need volunteers to sort through their donations in their storage cupboard. Meet at the Quaker Centre at 6.30pm for a 2.5km run there and a 2.5km run back. If you would like to meet us at Growbaby at 7pm the address is: Growbaby, The Hub, 38 Surbiton Road, KT2 If you would like to meet us at Hestia at 7pm the address is: Hestia, 3rd Floor, Millennium House, Eden Street, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1BL

As passionate about recycling as cycling, Full Cycle is an independent, non-profit community group run by a friendly team of bike mechanics and volunteers. They believe in the brilliance of the bicycle, and that every person – from all walks of life – should have access to their own affordable bike. That’s why Full Cycle work closely within the Kingston community, offering everything from great value bike servicing and maintenance classes to second hand bikes. What can GoodGym do to help? They always have jobs that are time-consuming and need extra hands. In the past we have cleaned bikes, pumped up second hand inner tubes to test for leaks and rolled up damaged ones so they ready to be shipped off for recycling. Simple tasks that hoover up lots of time - this is where we can really make an impact with a good sign up. The more people we have to help, the more we can help clear their to-do list. Many of the bikes they receive have been left unloved in garages or gardens for years, so are in need of some TLC! Your help in cleaning the bikes will make them ready for their mechanics to refurbish, so they can be given to local people in need, including refugees and homeless residents. If you have an unwanted spare bike please consider cycling or wheeling it to the task and donate it to this brilliant cause. You can log this as an extra good deed to help bump up your tally :) Risk of getting a little damp, but also there could be grease so don't wear your finest clothes! Bring gardening gloves in case we are tasked with jobs in the side alleyway as there are brambles and other sharp objects. We will meet at the Quaker Centre at 6.30pm and run 2.5km there and 2.5km run back. We'll be at Full Cycle for 7pm - the address for Full Cycle is 175-181 Kingston Road, New Malden, KT3 3SX. Please let me know if you are intending to meet us there.

Brite Box is getting ready for an office move and they’re looking for a few extra pairs of hands to help them pack the van. There’s quite a lot of equipment, boxes, furniture and general office bits to shift, so they need willing volunteers who don’t mind getting stuck in and helping with the heavy lifting. Tasks could include: Packing and loading boxes into the van Carrying items back and forth during the move General odd jobs to help the move run smoothly If you’re happy to roll up your sleeves, help move things around, and support the team however needed, then please sign up!
