Women & Marginalised Genders | Tue 18:00 | Autumn 2026
Have you ever wanted to learn to skateboard but felt nervous about getting started? We’ve got you.
This fun, inclusive 12 week course supports women and marginalised genders to begin or develop their skateboarding in a welcoming environment.
Whether you have never stepped on a skateboard or are already up and rolling, our qualified Skateboard GB coaches will meet you where you are and help you progress at your own pace. No previous experience or equipment is necessary.
Sessions take place in our private mobile skatepark in the Main Hall at Brighton Girls School or, weather permitting, outside on the rear netball court, using a range of ramps, rails and grind boxes. Alongside developing skateboarding skills, the course aims to help participants build confidence, resilience and boldness, take appropriate risks, make connections and grow their skate tribe.
For our 12th and final session, we’ll head to Hove Lagoon Beach Park for a celebratory Christmas skate (weather permitting); a chance to put our skills into practice, enjoy skating outdoors and finish the term as a community.
