SEW ME A MEADOW
Learn how to 'draw' with your sewing machine.
You will be shown how to adapt your domestic sewing machine and practice foliage and flower stitching techniques. Then, working on a background of layered fabrics, you will design and create a small, individual flower meadow picture, with freehand machine embroidery and applied fabrics.
Be inspired to have a go on your own machine at home. No experience necessary.

Learn how to add free motion stitch and apply colour to the fabric with threads and fabric.
Some knowledge of how to use your sewing machine will be required, but Susan will gently guide you through this exciting technique. Using the free templates as your guide is a great way to start your free-motion stitching journey. Please bring with you your instruction manual or be able to access it online so that if any issues occur Susan can try to help with your particular machine
Please bring your own sewing machine, it must be able to drop the feed dogs or you can cover them with masking tape. You will also require a machine embroidery/darning foot/free motion foot. and sewing cotton reels in green and or brown. White or black is also acceptable for practicing. All other materials will be provided. Tea and coffee will be included in the workshop.
