A fun workshop of gelli plate printing and art journaling. Anyone can join in. Easy to learn. Gelli Plate Printing uses a gelatin plate to press to fabric or paper. The process is easy as the paint is put on the gelli surface, spread out with a brayer then a variety of stencils and other textural objects are placed on the gelli plate, removed and transferred on the fabric or paper. All craft materials and a gelli plate for use in the workshop will be provided. There are 6 weeks of learning new techniques and building a journal. You can dip in and out, but I'm sure once you start you will want to come and see what each weeks tips and techniques are. It can be Bold images of collage which adds so much to the page Stamps and stencils add texture to backgrounds increasing visual appeal through layering Inspires future art work, a springboard for larger work on other substrats Take risks and try something new Playing with ideas, sketch and doodle, colour cut it up and use on other pieces or pages of art you make Use colour you don't typically use, pair it with other colours and watch the magic happen both on the page and within you.

Mark making is an important aspect of art making. Adding marks to your art that are meaningful to you also adds interest. Its a freeing exercise, follow your instincts and incorporate scribbling around some of the images you make with the acrylic pens and brushes. Come and create a set of art pictures using watercolours. acrylic pens and free flowing marks. Mary Oliver once said" I don't want to end up having simply visited this world". You will be starting with a gelli plate, making colourful backgrounds, text, repeated images, similar page layouts and decorative accents which help to unify the pages. Parchment craft is the art of cutting, perforating and embossing parchment paper/vellum to create delicate, lace-like designs for greetings cards and other stationery. Using various techniques one can create elegant and "soft-looking" projects. With basic techniques it is easy to master the beauty of this craft. This is lovely pastime and can be done by anyone. This uses hand held pointed embossing pens on a mat. All tools will be provided in the workshops. A beverage is included.
Peg Doll Ballerina Workshop Slow down, unwind and get creative Join us for a relaxing 4-hour workshop where you’ll transform a simple wooden peg into a beautiful ballerina keepsake. You’ll paint, decorate and dress your own unique peg doll from start to finish—perfect to treasure or gift. This is a calm, mindful session with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
