Somatic Yoga with Lisa
Guided by the natural intelligence and sensations of your body, we will slowly move through a series of movements and postures, designed to dissolve deeply held tension and stress patterns in your body-mind. Working sensitively with your body, by the repetition of safe, simple, effective and nourishing movements to recalibrate your whole body. The repetition of movements allows your body to find subtle strength and stability without hardness and muscles to gradually soften and lengthen without intensity or force. What is Somatic Yoga? Somatic Yoga is an inclusive, accessible, therapeutic & trauma sensitive blend of yoga, feldenkrais, somatics & embodiment practices. A somatic approach to yoga is focused on quality over quantity, on how you move not how much you move, on what you can feel, not what you can do. Feeling the sensations and being guided by them. A slow moving embodied meditation. It is by this embodied approach that one can learn to become deeply intimate with their inner felt sense and respond from that place. When we move and breathe from this place we are able to dissolve deeply habituated tension and stress patterns, establish new helpful movement and breath pathways and create long term lasting change, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Allowing you to relax into yourself, move, breathe and be in the world with more ease, presence, freedom, self love and acceptance both on and off the mat.
