Do you find standard football clubs can be intimidating? Do you hear questions such as “are you any good” and feel under pressure? Do you feel under pressure to pass to certain players? Are you shouted at? It doesn’t have to be this way! Welcome to Southampton’s LGBTQIA+ welcome inclusive football club. We welcome all levels of players. Players of all gender identities are equally welcome. As sexuality is personal, this is not something we ask. Instead, we encourage people to come along with a positive attitude and enjoy the game of football with others of a similar mindset. We aim to work alongside players to build a warm and welcoming environment for everyone. For those who would like support improving their game, we offer structured and fun sessions, including adapted games to help players to improve their skills and awareness of the game, alongside an experienced coach, to help you meet your potential. If you are interested in playing inclusive football to a higher level, we play competitive 11v11 football matches in an LGBTQI+ league, tournaments and friendly matches through the year. Where and when to find us Training sessions run every Tuesday evening from 7:00pm - 8:30pm at Hoglands Park in Southampton. On the day, the pitch and goals will be laid out, so it'll be reasonably obvious where we are. However, the meet-up point is along Palmerston Road (next to the grass). Alternatively, put snacks.boxing.sweep into 'What 3 words'. If you're driving, do not park there but instead park in 'S Front,' which is the name of a road alongside a different perimeter of Hoglands Park. Parking is much cheaper on this road and is a 1-minute walk to our meeting point. We are on a grass surface. Please wear suitable footwear of trainers, astro-turfs, moulded studs, or short blades. Do not bring studs as the ground is solid under the grass. We recommend you wear shinpads. We look forward to seeing you there. Thank you.
