We’re so excited to announce our upcoming SKSD In-House Competition, open to all SKSD students aged 6 years and up! This fun, supportive event is designed to be inclusive, fair, and encouraging for every dancer, no matter their experience level. The competition will be split into age divisions, and dancers will also be grouped as Competition Team and Non-Competitive students to ensure a fair and positive experience for everyone. Competition Sections ✨ Section 1: Learn & Perform Dancers will take part in a Modern Jazz–style class competition. They will learn a complete routine in 45 minutes, then perform it for the judge. This section will be judged by an external adjudicator, focusing on performance, technique, and presentation. ✨ Section 2: Solo Performance Dancers also have the option to perform a self-choreographed solo, prepared at home. Dancers choose their own music, choreography, and costume, and will perform their routine for the judges on the day. Awards Both sections will be placed 1st through 6th, celebrating effort, growth, and performance across all age groups. This competition is all about having fun, building confidence, and celebrating our dancers in a supportive studio environment. It’s open to everyone, and we would love to see as many students involved as possible!

The show fee is to cover the student's licenses, admin, and 1 costume. Purchasing costumes for a show can range from £40 upwards. Participants with a parent helping: £35.00 (includes 1 costume & both show fees) Participants with a parent not helping: £43.00 (this includes an £8.00 Chaperone fee)
WDE Challenge Day The challenge day, on the 13th June will host a day of class settings in Lyrical, Commercial and Improv, dancers can also enter their own choreography in a solo section. Minis - 6-9 years Juniors 10-13 years Seniors 14+years
