Laine Acting Workshop is run by Laine Management Ltd and was established to work alongside the agency in finding and nurturing new and established talent. We offer both child and adult termly drama classes from age 4 upwards.

This is a group for anyone who loves going to the theatre, talking about theatre, and possibly even taking part in theatre in some shape or form. We are blessed with a great selection of stage venues in and around the city, from grand old buildings (Palace Theatre, Opera House) through medium-sized high-brow establishments (Royal Exchange, HOME, The Lowry – yes I know it’s Salford!) to smaller, more intimate venues (Hope Mill, 53two & The King's Arms, also in Salford!). Throw in a smattering of other professional operations, drama schools and amateur outfits around the county and there are plenty of options to choose from. Plus there are the July festivals - the biennial Manchester International Festival and the Greater Manchester Fringe. However, the days of The Library Theatre’s Solo Nights are in the dim and distant past, so if you’re an avid consumer of live productions, have a partner and friends who don't share your enthusiasm, and going on your own doesn’t really appeal, that’s where we come in. The plan is to sample as many performance genres and acting spaces as we can, possibly to have a meal beforehand, but more importantly a lively discussion in the bar afterwards! So come and join us - we're a really friendly bunch ;-)
