The CBBB is expanding! We've reached an agreement with the Bell Inn that will allow us access to the pub on the first Sunday of every month! This day will allow us to break out some longer/ more complex games. It will hopefully also allow people to join who struggle to make the evenings during the week. The pub has ok'd bringing/going out for food on these days as the kitchen won't be open. We are expected, though, to use the bar for drinks. We look forward to seeing both old and new faces!
The Fleet Board Games Club will now meet every Wednesday in the Resident's Lounge at the Lismoyne Hotel. Due to potential space issues we're looking to restrict the number of people who can attend. If you RSVP "Yes" and find out that you can't attend for whatever reason then please change your RSVP status to allow others to turn up.

The Village Club is a member's club but you can attend our board game evening without becoming a member. As the space will stay open for the use of our group the expectation is that you will buy a drink or two to cover the cost of the bar staff. Social space to play casual, friendly chess - all abilities welcome. We'll be upstairs from 6 pm in the rather beautiful bar area, which has a lounge & rooftop terrace. Curzon cinema is a Grade II listed fully accessible venue, and honestly a bit of a hidden gem. They offer great coffee and drinks, sweet and savoury snacks, and tasty food - I recommend the mini pizzas! When it comes to chess I'm an advanced immediate player, so can offer tips and a bit of coaching for beginners, happily observe the chaos unfold, or get stuck into the action 🗡🦊🛡 Chess sets are provided. All other board games, role-playing games and small-scale tabletop wargames are welcome too. Feel free to bring something along and I'd love to try it. Join us at the WIG & PEN for a day of Blood on the Clocktower! (Note this is a paid event, £5 on the day :) We're usually two towns, one for beginners and another running Custom scripts. . . . In the quiet town of Ravenswood Bluff, a demon walks amongst you... Blood on the Clocktower is a group social deduction game (think improved Werewolves/Mafia). The good townsfolk must put the puzzle together in time to execute the secret demon of the group who, along with their minions, must lie and bluff their way to victory... by killing all the good players! The unique twists with Blood on the Clocktower are: Everyone has a unique power & The dead play on... . . . New to the game? Don't worry, we'll explain the rules. Hanging out with friends is always fun, and that's the kind of environment we're trying to create. Come along to hangout with us at the Penta hotel, play a couple of games of mario kart or two, and overall just have a chat and relax for the evening :) All ages and mario kart skills welcome, we'll also be playing some board games / card games and generally just "hanging out". So feel free to come along and just watch me embarass myself at mario kart. Feel free to bring along any games you may have both for the Switch and board games :) extra controllers is always handy! Nervous coming along? I'll be there early from about 6pm to set up and will be happy to introduce you to anyone and get a couple of icebreakers going.

It's bring your own games so if there's something you want to play please bring it, otherwise if you don't have any you can find space in a game someone else is running. Pop upstairs anytime from around 5pm and you'll find a friendly mix of people - just introduce yourself at a table that interests you. You don't need to arrive at the start to join in - you can turn up anytime and jump into the next available game. There is free parking (though not unlimited space obviously, so snooze you lose - there is on-street offering as well which is free after 8pm) and the Deansgate-Castlefield tram stop is a mere 5 minutes walk away. Game spaces are allocated on the day and are a first come first served basis. Spaces at a game are determined by the DM to ensure their game is balanced. Whether you're new to Dungeons & Dragons, an old timer wanting to try a crazy new character idea, a 'forever DM' wanting a break, or fancy trying a new system entirely, One Shot Sundays has got you covered. Run for, and by, Manchester LGBTQIA+ individuals, we host ttrpg games designed to start and end in a single session. There's no commitment to your character or future games, just that you’re willing to try something new. Please be aware our events are only suitable for 18+. If you’re new to Dungeons & Dragons 5e or 5.5e you're more than welcome to prepare a level 1 character yourself (we suggest using dndbeyond.com as it streamlines the process) or come along and grab one of our pre-made characters. If you're a little more experienced feel free to bring a Level 3 to 6 as we will also be running games at that bracket. All official content is allowed, please use point-buy or standard array for ability score generation as well as standard starting equipment. Our D&D games are mostly using the 5e (2014) edition rules as many of our DMs are still getting used to the 5.5e (2024) rules. If you’ve got a 5.5e character please check with the DM running the game to see if it’s OK to use. You don't need to bring anything specific, but a set of dice and something to write on (notepad/phones/tablets/small laptops are fine at the table) would be great. We ask for a minimum donation of £3 to take part in these games Please note we are a community group, all profits go towards running Meet-Up and Discord costs. PERENNIAL INFORMATION A popular session of general gaming, covering all styles and levels of complexity. This session will take place every Sunday. The event starts at 13:00. Try to be here for the start as games may have started if you arrive late. Please bring along anything you fancy playing, or just come with an open mind and join in with what others have brought; there will always be plenty of games present. There is generally a good mix of quick and more involved games going on. The hotel doesn't charge us for using their fantastic space. This allows us to not charge for the event, so please do spend something across the bar if you can afford to. HOW TO FIND US: We will be at the back of the dining area. Walk straight ahead as you come through the revolving door (passing the bar on your left). You'll know us by the large piles of games and gamers spread around the area. It is less than 10 minutes walk from the train station and the centre of town. Penta have a discounted parking at Q-Park (Guests staying with us can enjoy a 40% discount at the Q-Park on Chatham Road, just a 3-minute walk from the hotel. Play More Games, is a tabletop games event in the centre of Solihull meeting on the last Sunday of the month, starting from 15:00 and running into the evening (or until people get bored)! Bring boardgames (if you have them), play boardgames, drink beer, eat cake, meet fun people! Everyone welcome! The Paramo Lounge is a great venue, and we'll be up for both light nonsense and brain burning cube pushing. With hours of gaming time, there's time for plenty of games, and breaks in between. We always have an average of ten people at each event, regardless of event RSVPs.
