Don’t let the mums have all the fun, connecting with nature is beneficial for everyone. Come and join us for our Father's day special Forest School session for male carers, uncles, granddad's, and their children. Hidden away at a private site in Norton Canon, our Family Forest School sessions offer you and your family the opportunity to reconnect with nature and each other. Create lasting memories around the campfire, explore the native flora and fauna, swing in a hammock, challenge yourself to the ropes, build a den or have a go at whittling. These sessions run 1 weekend a month on either a saturday or sunday, during school holidays and are suitable for toddlers and children up to 12yrs. Join our experienced L3 Forest School leader for some unique family time. Sessions are child led building on their interests and skills, let us know if theres anything you are particularly interested in learning. Spaces are limited and booking is essential - book early to avoid disappointment. £10 for the first child discounts for siblings. Adults and under 18 months free if accompanied by a paying child.

An afternoon session for Home Educated or Flexi Schooled children, their younger siblings and parents/carers. An inclusive, family orientated session where children of all ages can enjoy the woods together. Our Home Ed Groups are long term Forest School groups, offering fun, exploration and development of skills in the natural environment. Following the forest school ethos sessions are relaxed and learner-led allowing children to learn and grow in a nurturing, inclusive, supportive environment... not to mention a whole lot of fun! They can choose to learn new skills or develop existing ones, with ropes, campfires, woodland craft, tree climbing, nature connection, tool work, storytelling, shelter building, dens, bushcraft, games and projects ... or choose to take time to relax, connect with nature and themselves, socialise round the campfire, swing in the hammock and just 'be'... or anything in between!

Weekly forest schools sessions perfect for inquisitve little people ran wednesdays during term time. A fun exciting group for 12mths - 6 years, incorporating messy play, stories, crafts and all the fun of the forest! Each week provides an opportunity to explore the woods, swing in our hammocks, cook over the fire, climb trees, take part in craft activities, enjoy nature and the freedom! What is Forest School? Forest School is an outdoor, child-led session. Children will learn how to manage risks, improve communication skills, build dens, learn to use a variety of tools, cook over the fire, love nature, use their imaginations and explore! At Wylder Forest School we are passionate about the holistic development of the whole child and will work to improve self-esteem and resilience. Sessions will be planned based on observations of the previous week to enable participants to progress their learning but the focus will be on self-directed learning and discovery; in other words, play! Forest School works best and is designed to be frequent and regular and that’s why we book a block of 6 sessions at a time. accompanying Siblings under 18m are welcome too free of charge
