XC Skatepark Beginners Skateboarding Course Ages 5+

XC Skatepark Beginners Course Ages 5+ 🛹 Level: Beginner 👦 Ages: 5+ ⏰ Time: 4-5pm 📅 New student bookings open from 26th March, until then these classes are password protected to offer current students first refusal. Ready to roll? Our Beginner Skateboard Course at The XC, Hemel Hempstead is the perfect way for kids to start their skateboarding journey. Led by experienced coaches, these structured lessons will cover the fundamentals of skateboarding, starting with balance and board control before progressing to skills like kick-turns, drop-ins, and even the ollie. Each session builds on the last, helping skaters grow in confidence and ability at their own pace. We keep class sizes small to ensure everyone gets the support they need. Skateboarding is not just about tricks—it’s about building resilience, problem-solving, and creativity in a fun and supportive environment. ✅ All safety gear (helmet, wrist guards, knee & elbow pads) and skateboards provided if needed. 🏆 The XC Hemel skatepark is a large open facility with an indoor bowl and pool complex, it attracts skateboarders from beginner level to Olympic-standard athletes with Skate GB evets hosted here regularly. Adult Lessons – Wednesdays: The XC Hemel April Lessons

Don't let the kids have all the fun! ABC Adults to the XC Skatepark Hemel With private use of the park we can now offer adult lessons for first timers and those less confident. We always recommend that you provide your own skateboard and safety equipment. However, we have Skateboards, helmets, wrist guards, elbow and knee pads available if you would like to use them. We are able to provide an active learning environment for both new starters to skateboarding as well as those who have learnt the basics and want to develop their skills further. Our ABC Adults lessons have multiple coaches on hand for all to learn collaboratively and in a fun, safe environment. These lessons are capped at 16 skaters to ensure a high quality of teaching. Lessons will run Wednesdays 8:30pm-10pm

Hemel Hempstead: Group Lesson- Mixed Ability- Ages 7+

As standard, these lessons can be booked as a 121 or 221 private session. If you'd like to book as a small group we can take up to a max of 5 students for an extra £10+VAT per person. Ready to take your skills to the next level? Our Improver Skateboard Course at The XC, Hemel Hempstead is designed for skaters who have mastered the basics and are ready to push themselves further. To move into our Improver Lessons, we look for students to be able to do the following: • Dropping in quarter-pipes without assistance. • Can navigate a skatepark independently. • Can kick-turn without help. • Have a basic understanding of tricks such as ‘the ollie.’ • Would benefit from a more independent learning environment. We keep class sizes small to give students the support and guidance they need.
