Brighton Pub Boardgamers

Werewolf is a type of social deduction game like Blood on the Clocktower or The Spawn or the Traitors. It's a social/party game (a bit like a murder mystery), you're secretly either a villager or a wolf, and trying to figure out what everyone else is. Who's on your team, and who's not? Deduction, bluffing, and lots of feeling confused about who's who. Trying to work out what's going on whilst keeping your team from being bitten by wolves or burned at the stake by the village is what beings people back week after week. We'll be running two games simultaneously, a base game and an advanced game. New players are very welcome! Just RSVP to let us know you are coming. If you've never played before, don't worry, we will get you started in our beginner friendly base game! We'll explain the rules, go through the roles with you and assign you a beginner buddy to play with you but we usually have several new players every week so you won't ever be alone! Enter the pub using the entrance door on the right and we will be there straight ahead of you. We begin arriving around 6pm to set up and brief newbies on the rules. First game usually starts around 6.30pm and a second game typically kicks off between 8 - 8.30pm. If you're going to be late, please comment on here to let us know so the moderator knows to add you in to the game. If you arrive after we've started you're able to sit and watch the drama unfold. Brighton ALT.NET

Brighton ALT.NET is a monthly meetup for C# .NET Developers in Brighton and Hove. We meet on the second Thursday of every month at The Werks in Middle Street for a Q&A style event, with the occasional talk or show-and-tell. It's free to attend, very informal, and we usually have free beer and pizza sponsored by a local company. It's a really friendly crowd and everyone is welcome. The format of the evening is very simple. If you have something that you'd like to talk about, or a question that you want to pose to the group, write it down on a post-it note and add it to the pile. We then vote on the topics and talk about them in descending vote order, 10 minutes per question for the most popular, and then 5 minutes per question when we start running low on time. Doors open at 7.15pm. Help yourself to some pizza and beer, get your questions written down, and we sit down to start voting at around 7.30. With so many places to eat, drink and be merry in Brighton & Hove, we have created a Group to make full use of what the City has to offer. We aim to bring together people with interesting conversation at events with good food, washed down with wine or other drinks, in pubs, restaurants and even some pop up places around town. Our members tend to be aged 40+ but age is not the driver. As you would expect, you pay for what you consume at each event. We are always looking for more people willing to act as hosts - please contact the organiser if you are interested We do expect members to manage their own social diaries & attend events if they RSVP Yes or if Waitlisted, to monitor the list to see if they get lucky. We have a Group policy which is on the Pages Section to explain the way we ask members to operate with us. Hove Eats Out is a social group for those who enjoy the wide variety of eateries in Hove. We're focussed on visiting the best pubs and restaurants Hove has to offer. Brighton shouldn't have all the glory - but you don't have to live in Hove to join the group! Everyone is welcome, though the group is aimed at those over 50. It is not a singles group. We'll meet for brunches, lunches and dinners. To join, please let us have your real name and a recent photo. Members each pay for what they consume, including a service charge, where appropriate.
