Adult Ballet (Beginners Level) Our Beginners Adult Ballet classes are designed for those who have never studied ballet before - or perhaps haven't danced for many years. We take time to break down the fundamentals, building technique, strength, flexibility and confidence week by week in a supportive and encouraging environment. Each block also includes learning a full routine, giving you the opportunity to put your new skills into practice and enjoy the experience of dancing to beautiful music. What's so good about our Ballet classes? 🌟 Open to adults of all ages and abilities - Our members are a wonderful mix of complete beginners and those returning to dance after years away. Intermediate Ballet

Our Intermediate Ballet class is a great next step for dancers who already have some ballet experience and are ready to build on what they’ve learned. In this class, we focus on improving technique, strength, and confidence, while still making sure it’s enjoyable and encouraging. We continue with barre work and centre exercises, and introduce more challenging steps, jumps, and turns as the dancers progress. We also learn fun routines together, dancing to a mix of classical and more modern music, which helps develop both skill and expression. In Intermediates we start to also explore lyrical and contemporary forms of dance within this class. This class is ideal for dancers who want to keep developing their ballet in a supportive and positive environment - without the pressure of exams or competitions. Dancers in this class are also invited to take part in our annual shows, festive displays, and other exciting performance opportunities. Intermediate Modern

Our Intermediate Modern class is a lively and creative next step for dancers who are ready to build on their existing skills and explore a wider range of movement and styles. In this class, we draw from modern, jazz, commercial, and musical theatre dance, making every session fun, expressive, and varied. Dancers work on technique, coordination, and performance skills while learning exciting routines to a mix of music - from stage favourites to pop hits. This class is all about building confidence, developing strong movement, and having fun in a relaxed and encouraging environment. It’s ideal for those who have completed our Pre-Intermediate level or have similar experience and are looking for a fresh challenge. Dancers in this class are also invited to take part in our annual shows, festive displays, and other exciting performance opportunities. Intermediate Street

Our Intermediate Street Dance class is a fun and energetic next step for those who’ve already built some confidence in our Pre-Intermediate level or have previous dance experience. In this class, dancers continue to learn the key moves and styles of street dance, including hip hop, house, and commercial dance (the kind you often see in music videos and live performances). We also start introducing exciting floor moves and tricks, like freezes, to help dancers build strength and control in a safe and supported way. Each term we learn a new routine together, building skills in teamwork, musicality, and stage presence. There’s a strong focus on performance - learning how to express character and tell a story through movement. We dance to a wide range of music, from classic hip hop tracks to current chart hits, so there’s something for everyone. This class is ideal for dancers who are ready to be challenged, have fun, and grow in both skill and confidence. As always at AMC, the most important thing is enjoying dance in a friendly and supportive environment. Dancers in this class are also invited to take part in our annual shows, festive displays, and other exciting performance opportunities. Intermediate Tap

Our Intermediate Tap class is perfect for dancers who are ready to build on their existing tap skills and take things to the next level. In this class, we explore a wider range of steps, rhythms, and combinations, helping dancers improve their timing, coordination, and musicality. We focus on building strong tap technique while also encouraging creativity and performance skills. Dancers will enjoy learning routines set to a variety of music - from classic show tunes to upbeat modern tracks - making each class fun, fresh, and full of energy. This class offers a great balance of challenge, fun, and personal growth in a relaxed and supportive environment. Junior Ballet 1 – Saturdays

Our Junior Ballet classes are the perfect introduction to the world of dance for young children. In a calm, caring, and encouraging environment, your child will begin to explore the foundations of ballet - learning basic positions, simple steps, and gentle routines that help build strength, coordination, and confidence. We believe in dance without pressure. That means no exams or competitions. Classes are filled with imagination, creativity, and joyful movement, using a mix of classical, Disney, contemporary, and even pop music to keep things fresh and fun. This class is taught by AMC Principal, Miss Adele, who brings years of teaching experience, professionalism, and a true passion for nurturing each child’s confidence and love of dance. Each class is also supported by our wonderful Student Helpers and friendly Admin Team, creating a safe, structured, and welcoming environment where every dancer feels valued and cared for. We start with Ballet 1, designed for children in Reception and Year 1. In these classes, grown-ups sit in and watch, helping children feel settled and confident. As dancers progress to Ballet 2 and Ballet 3, they move to our drop-off and pick-up sessions, building independence in a gentle, age-appropriate way. At this stage, we also open up the options of Tap, Modern and Street dance. Our Junior Ballet dancers are also invited to take part in our annual shows, festive displays, and other relaxed performance opportunities, where the focus is always on fun, teamwork, and celebrating each child’s journey - no matter where they are in their dancing adventure.

We use a wide variety of music to inspire and engage - from up-to-date pop hits to songs from the world of Musical Theatre and Disney favourites. This mix keeps classes exciting and relatable, helping young dancers connect emotionally with the music and performance. As well as building strong foundations in flexibility, coordination, and musicality - we also place a big emphasis on teamwork. Children regularly work in pairs and groups, learning to trust, collaborate, and support one another - building both dance skills and friendships. It’s a joyful, confidence-boosting class where every child is encouraged to express themselves, grow at their own pace, and enjoy the sheer joy of dancing. Our Junior Street class is energetic, confidence-boosting, and packed with fun! Designed for children in school Years 1 to 4, this upbeat class introduces the fundamentals of hip hop and house funk styles with a fresh, modern twist. Each term, we learn a new group routine together - often with character-based themes that help develop performance skills, creativity, and self-expression. We explore musicality through a wide range of tracks, from hip hop classics to the latest chart hits, so there’s something for every young dancer to enjoy. Street dance is a bold and dynamic art form that encourages individuality while building teamwork. Classes include high-energy warm-ups, strength-building stretches, conditioning exercises, and exciting routines that develop coordination, rhythm, and confidence. This class is led by our fabulous Miss Amber and Miss Nya, and assisted by Miss Adele. This class is also invited to take part in our annual shows, festive displays, and other performance opportunities throughout the year. This class is a step up from our Beginners Ballet, offering more challenge, pace, and progression. You’ll build technique, stamina, and confidence while learning routines and exploring both classical and lyrical ballet styles. Many of our members have returned to ballet after years away or have moved up from our beginner classes - everyone works at their own pace in a supportive and encouraging environment. If you’re brand new to ballet or would prefer a slower-paced class, we recommend our Beginners Ballet sessions on Wednesdays or Fridays. At just £6.40 per class, it’s amazing value for high-quality, feel-good dancing! We are currently not offering 1 week trials in this class due to the demand for spaces

Monday Improvers Tap QVH

Improvers Adult Tap Our Improvers Tap classes are fun, fast-paced, and full of energy - designed for adults who already have a good foundation in tap dancing and are looking for a new challenge. This class is ideal for dancers with previous tap experience, whether that's from childhood, adult classes, or those returning to tap after a break. While the class is designed for those with a solid foundation in tap, it's still very much about enjoyment rather than perfection. We move at a faster pace, explore more challenging rhythms and choreography, and encourage everyone to progress at their own level. If you enjoy learning, love a challenge, and don't mind giving something new a go, you'll fit right in. Each class includes a thorough warm-up, focused step and technique work, and time dedicated to learning a full routine across the block. All routines are choreographed in-house and vary in style to keep things fresh, engaging, and rewarding. The atmosphere is friendly, supportive, and encouraging, but the class moves at a quicker pace than our Beginners Tap classes and is best suited to those who enjoy being challenged and developing their technique. There are also plenty of optional performance opportunities throughout the year - including taking part in our annual production and the nationwide Tapathon charity event. At just £6.40 per class, it's amazing value for high-quality, feel-good tap dancing! WHY IS THIS BLOCK SO LONG?! Each November we give you the optional opportunity to join us for the Tapathon event. This block we'll be learning the official Tapathon routine, meaning it's a double length block. This block also includes some festive themed classes. We are currently not offering 1-week trials in this class due to demand for spaces. If you're unsure whether this class is the right level for you, please get in touch and we'd be happy to advise.

Pre-Intermediate Ballet

These are feel-good sessions designed to get dancers moving, growing in confidence, working as a team and expressing themselves through a wide range of styles and music. Whether your dancer is progressing from a Junior class or joining AMC for the first time, this class offers a supportive space to explore movement, improve technique, and develop performance skills. Dancers in this class are also invited to take part in our annual shows, festive displays, and other exciting performance opportunities.

Pre-Intermediate Street

Our Street Dance classes are confidence-boosting, high-energy, and group-focused - bringing together the fun of dance with the benefits of great exercise. Each session is packed with lively warm-ups, strength-building stretches, and dynamic routines that get everyone moving and smiling. We teach the core techniques of hip hop and house funk styles, giving them a fresh, modern twist. Each term, dancers work together to learn a brand-new routine, exploring character-based movement, performance skills, and teamwork. In this class, we also begin to explore Street floorwork, including freezes and other impressive tricks, helping dancers build strength, coordination, and control in a fun and supportive way. Classes feature a wide variety of music - from hip hop classics to the latest chart hits - so there’s something to suit every style and taste. Street dance is a powerful and expressive art form that’s especially popular with young people, and we’re here to help them grow in skill and confidence. As always at AMC, fun is our number one priority - expect a jam-packed class full of energy, creativity, and encouragement. Our Pre-Intermediate Street class has an approximate age guide of school year 4 to year 6 - depending on experience. In this class, pupils learn a wide range of tap steps and styles, dancing to everything from classic show tunes to up-to-date chart hits - and everything in between. We focus on building strong tap technique, exploring different rhythms and sounds, while also developing performance skills in a relaxed and supportive environment. Whether your child is progressing from our Junior classes or is new to AMC, this class offers a fun and rewarding next step in their dance journey. As with all our classes, enjoyment is at the heart of everything we do. Expect lots of energy, laughter, and a sense of achievement each week. Pre-Senior Street and Commercial

This fast-paced, high-energy class alternates each term between Street and Commercial styles - giving dancers a fresh and exciting challenge all year round. In Street dance, we cover key techniques from hip hop and house funk with a modern twist. We groove to everything from classic hip hop tracks to today’s biggest hits - so there’s something for everyone. Street dance is powerful, dynamic, and hugely popular with young dancers. Commercial dance, often seen in music videos, TV, and live performances, blends influences from street, jazz, modern, and hip hop styles. Routines are set to chart-topping and RnB tracks and focus on strong, confident movement with plenty of attitude. Every class kicks off with a cardio warm-up, followed by stretching and strength training to build the muscles dancers need to stay strong and injury-free. Each term, we learn a new routine that helps build technique, performance skills, and confidence - while keeping the enjoyment front and centre. This class welcomes dancers of all styles and backgrounds and is a great space for experienced pre-teens and young teenagers to push themselves and grow. Participants are also invited to perform in our annual shows, festive displays, and other exciting events.

Senior Modern

Our Senior Modern classes are fast-paced, energetic, and perfect for experienced dancers who are ready to be challenged and grow. These sessions focus on strong modern and jazz technique, expressive movement, and dynamic choreography. Dancers explore a range of styles, including jazz and musical theatre, with an emphasis on performance, precision, and creativity. This class welcomes dancers of all styles and backgrounds and is a great space for experienced pre-teens and young teenagers to push themselves and grow. Dancers in this class are also invited to take part in our annual shows, festive displays, and other exciting performance opportunities.

SUMMER WORKSHOPS: Beginners Heels

👠 Beginners Heels with Jodie 👠 Discover your confidence and unleash your inner diva in this fun, friendly introduction to heels dance. Jodie will guide you through the basics before teaching a fabulous routine designed especially for beginners. Expect lots of laughs, plenty of encouragement, and a chance to try something a little different this summer! Don't have heels or prefer to dance in flats? No problem! Heels are completely optional, and you're very welcome to take part in whatever footwear makes you feel comfortable and confident. 💫 Wear comfy clothes you can move in - all participants will need trainers/flat dance shoes for the warm up, you can then optionally change into your heels to dance in. 💃 No experience needed – just bring good vibes and a sense of fun! Tuesday Improvers Tap Rawlins

Improvers Adult Tap Our Improvers Tap classes are fun, fast-paced, and full of energy - designed for adults who already have a good foundation in tap dancing and are looking for a new challenge. This class is ideal for dancers with previous tap experience, whether that's from childhood, adult classes, or those returning to tap after a break. While the class is designed for those with a solid foundation in tap, it's still very much about enjoyment rather than perfection. We move at a faster pace, explore more challenging rhythms and choreography, and encourage everyone to progress at their own level. If you enjoy learning, love a challenge, and don't mind giving something new a go, you'll fit right in. Each class includes a thorough warm-up, focused step and technique work, and time dedicated to learning a full routine across the block. All routines are choreographed in-house and vary in style to keep things fresh, engaging, and rewarding. The atmosphere is friendly, supportive, and encouraging, but the class moves at a quicker pace than our Beginners Tap classes and is best suited to those who enjoy being challenged and developing their technique. There are also plenty of optional performance opportunities throughout the year - including taking part in our annual production and the nationwide Tapathon charity event. At just £6.40 per class, it's amazing value for high-quality, feel-good tap dancing! WHY IS THIS BLOCK SO LONG?! Each November we give you the optional opportunity to join us for the Tapathon event. This block we'll be learning the official Tapathon routine, meaning it's a double length block. This block also includes some festive themed classes. Each class starts with a lively warm-up to get your blood pumping, followed by learning a full routine over the block. You’ll explore a diverse range of dance styles - from traditional jazz, Fosse, and commercial, to musical theatre classics, iconic songs from the decades, and today’s up-to-date bangers. The class offers options to intensify the difficulty or scale it back, so everyone can work at a comfortable pace. Our classes are a judgment-free, safe space, with an energised and supportive group of like-minded adults - perfect for dancing, connecting, and having fun together. Adult Ballet (Beginners Level) Our Beginners Adult Ballet classes are designed for those who have never studied ballet before - or perhaps haven't danced for many years. We take time to break down the fundamentals, building technique, strength, flexibility and confidence week by week in a supportive and encouraging environment. Each block also includes learning a full routine, giving you the opportunity to put your new skills into practice and enjoy the experience of dancing to beautiful music.
