Argyll Soul POTTERY
3 sessions
We will work, in a small group, with earthenware clay, and coloured slips, and explore hand building and decorating, using a variety of techniques, and choosing between making decorative pieces, animals, seasonal projects, mugs, plates, bowls, tiles, or sculptures. Pieces will be fired at a later date for you to keep. Following one hand-building project on the first class for future classes you may choose the wheel, throwing, trimming and decorating your pots, or further hand building. There are 4 wheels available, three electric, and one kick wheel. The class is two and a half hours long, with a tea and cake break in the middle, between making, and includes a fifteen minute clear up and wash up at the end. Argyll Soul Pottery classes are held at The Stable Pottery, Achavaich Farmhouse, close to Oban, surrounded by beautiful countryside. Young people under 16 attend with an adult family member, or youth worker. We cater for all ages and abilities, and are an LGBTQIA Safe Space.
