You will have the opportunity to try to make a small pot on the pottery wheels The price includes decoration and firing of your completed piece. Extra pots over and above your favourite pot are subject to a £20 firing charge.

Come and try a go at Throwing. I have 4 spaces. 1 and half hour- £50 per person or a throwing Voucher. 10 min clay prep 10 min demo 1 hour throwing / decoration with underglaze. 10 min tidy up and add initials. 1st throw will be a practice then decide whether you want to throw a larger bowl/vase and add some colour or 2 smaller vessels and spend 10 mins at end making into mugs. After this session you are welcome attend drop in hour throwing sessions for £20 per hour.. just buy clay which includes firing and clear glaze £12 a kg.

Come and create 2 small pumpkins or 1 bigger one from stoneware clay. You will learn the 'pinch pot' method and how to join two forms together to create a hollow sphere. Then add an extra detail stalk! Add extra leaves for a real challenge ❤️ Finish with a splash of colour underglazing The class is fun, relaxing and social 😌. Children over 10 who love crafting and can sit for 2 hours are welcome to come with a paying adult

This is a fun and fascinating chemical effect of creating lava or moonscapes onto bone dry clay using a combination of vinegar and baking soda. Participants will see the sizzling effects on their bone-dry and unfired pieces.
Perfect for beginners and those wishing to practice their throwing. Sessions are two hours long and include 15 minutes cleaning up time. Beginners are offered intensive tuition and returners get the opportunity to practice. At the end of each course of five sessions throwers should be competent throwing a variety of functional shapes. Hello. Come along to my family play with clay session. This session is suitable for school age children- maybe preschool if your child can sit and do an activity for an hour. We have allocated 60 mins for the project- however if your child has patience and adding more detail we have booked out 90 mins. I will demonstrate some techniques how to join clay together and give you ideas of what you can make and the rest is play with clay. Please book a space for your child only. It is £25 a project for children and adults- if i have space and your child doesn't need too much support feel free to have a play too and make your own masterpiece. I will be demonstrating how to make a boat 😀
Come and join us to make 3 garden pod sculptures. These are really fun pinch pot forms that can be decorated with colour underglazing to make the colourful and decorative! These sculptures can be put in your garden during spring summer and even be used as bee stations to help keep bees hydrated during summer months. Please be aware the studio is on the 1st floor with stairs to access. Once you have made your pods, they will be dried, fired in the kiln, glazed and fired again. Your work will be ready 4 weeks later. Work can only be stored for 4 weeks after collection date in studio before going into storage for another 4 weeks.
Come and join us for a fun 2 hour pottery class. You will learn pottery techniques and make a little family of ghosts with accessories. You can add holes for a function tealight or without as a Halloween sculpture. Really fun class, come with friend or come on your own and meet like minded people. You don't need to be creative.. just follow our instructions. Suitable for crafty children who can focus for 2 hours and come with a supportive paying adult. This allows us to give everyone support.

We are very excited that Julia Elliot from AgamaCreative will be re-joining us on Sunday 4th October. Following her amazing long legged Horse Sculpture workshop earier this year, this time Julia will show us how to sculpt vibrant hares. Join renowned sculptor Julia Elliot of Agama Creative for an inspiring one-day workshop exploring the art of animal sculpture. Julia is best known for her distinctive animal sculptures full of movement, character, and charm – and in this hands-on session, she’ll guide you step-by-step through creating your own lively hare. Working with leather-hard clay and using slab-building techniques, you’ll learn how to build a dynamic and expressive form. Julia will share her methods for capturing the natural flow of hair and fur in clay, while encouraging you to add your own personality and style to your sculpture. Your finished piece will stand up to 30cm tall, making this an ideal workshop for those ready to take their clay skills to the next level. With just 12 places available, this is an exclusive opportunity to learn directly from a master of her craft in the supportive and creative Cheshire Clay Studios.

Our Sat-art-day classes will run for 47 weeks of the year, with an extended break over Christmas and a couple of weekends off throughout the rest of the year. We’ll always give you plenty of notice before any weekends when classes won’t be running. Please note that for any child that is signed up to a monthly subscription, we require 1 full calendar month’s written notice before the payment is due, before we cancel the subscription.
