Social Anxiety Mastery Group (Build True Confidence)

All agesSun
📅 3 May 2026
📍 B17 9QL

Hey guys 👋 If you're looking to reduce social anxiety and make new friends over brunch you're very welcome to come to the event at 11am on Sunday the 19th of April at The Plough in Harborne Birmingham (B17 9NT) 😀 At the event we will create a safe non-judgemental space where you can freely socialise as well as share anything that's bothering you so you go away feeling lighter. I've chosen brunch at the Plough in Harborne because it has a nice atmosphere, it's not as pricey as an evening meal there and it's good to keep things fresh 😀 If this sounds like an event you will enjoy and benefit from I very much look forward to meeting 🤝 you there on the day 🙂 Cheers, Phil *If you're looking for help and support with any specific challenges feel free to grab me for a chat during the event.

Hi everyone, I am Dr Phil Morrison and I am a professional confidence coach. I am creating this group to enable anyone who is shy in social situations to build confidence, form real connections, and have fun in a non-judgmental environment where you are encouraged to simply be yourself :) For this group, I will put on free monthly in-person events in the West Midlands (and possibly elsewhere) including coffee meetups, food outings, park trips and other suggested activities. Feel free to join this group if you are a person with good ethics and believe you would benefit from attending such events. Look forward to meeting you in the future.

Beyond Willpower: Subconscious Patterns & Real Change

Tue
📅 26 May 2026
📍 B14 6PL

Why do we keep repeating patterns we understand, but cannot seem to change? Why can we know exactly what we “should” do, and still find ourselves overthinking, avoiding, procrastinating, people-pleasing, holding back, numbing out, or returning to familiar emotional loops? This group is for people who are curious about the subconscious mind, and ready to understand the hidden patterns shaping everyday life. We will explore why change can feel harder than it should, especially when logic, willpower and positive thinking have not been enough. Together, we will look at how the subconscious mind influences habits, emotional reactions, self-sabotage, confidence, identity, relationships and the choices we keep making almost automatically. The sessions are thoughtful, grounded and practical. They are designed to help you recognise what may be happening beneath the surface, so you can begin to understand yourself with more clarity and compassion. Topics may include: why insight alone does not always create change why we repeat patterns we consciously want to stop how old beliefs shape present-day choices why self-sabotage is often self-protection in disguise the subconscious roots of habits, fear, avoidance and overthinking why change can feel unsafe, even when we deeply want it * how hypnotherapy can support deeper subconscious change This is not a group therapy space, and hypnotherapy will not be carried out during the sessions. The group is educational, reflective and conversational. However, the conversations may help you recognise areas where deeper one-to-one work could be helpful. The group is facilitated by Nadine Abeng, a qualified hypnotherapist, coach and self-help author. Nadine brings together subconscious work, coaching, reflective practice and a deep interest in human behaviour, emotional patterns and meaningful change. You do not need any previous experience with hypnotherapy, personal development or psychology. Just bring curiosity, open
