2-Step Recovery – Trafford

Trafford

Tue
📅 23 Jun 2026
📍 M41 5GN

2-Step Recovery is a simple approach to overcoming mental health challenges, addiction, trauma, and other life difficulties. The 2-Step Recovery approach is based on two simple principles: Build recovery capital – the supports, strengths, and resources that help people heal. This step can be done daily. Measure progress – tracking distress so we know whether recovery is actually happening. This is often best done weekly. This Meetup group offers a supportive space where people can learn about this approach, share experiences if they wish, and explore practical ways to strengthen their recovery. You are welcome whether you are: • working on your own recovery • supporting someone else • or interested in improving your wellbeing Meetings will include both online sessions and local meetings in Trafford, including areas such as Urmston, Stretford, Flixton, and Partington. The 2-Step Recovery model is based on decades of outcome research showing that recovery improves when people build recovery capital and regularly measure their progress. The group is organised by Gearóid Carey, author of Recovery Made Simple: Two Steps to Heal Your Life and founder of WellbeingTrackers.com, where free recovery tracking tools are available. Group Guidelines • Be respectful of others. • Confidentiality is requested, but cannot be guaranteed. NOTE: This local group is back! Previously it was located in North Yorkshire Moors, it's now been moved to Manchester. What Recovering from Religion Is About Do you doubt your beliefs? Have questions about changing or leaving your faith? You are not alone—and we are here to help. Recovering from Religion (RfR) exists to provide ongoing, personal support for individuals who are examining, changing, or choosing to let go of their religious beliefs. We are not here to deconvert anyone or tell you what to believe. We are here to offer understanding, support, and healing during what can often be a challenging and emotional transitional period. This kind of transition can bring a wide range of feelings and may have a ripple effect across many areas of life. RfR Support Group meetings are designed to be safe, anonymous spaces where you can openly share doubts, fears, and experiences—without judgment, proselytizing, or biased feedback. If you need someone to talk to before your meeting date, RfR offers both a hotline and an online chat for immediate support. Call (844) 368-2848 or visit www.recoveringfromreligion.org to chat online. There is no cost to attend our support groups. If you feel inspired to contribute, donations can be made at: www.recoveringfromreligion.org/donate Please note that RfR volunteers are peer supporters, not licensed therapists. If you feel you may benefit from professional mental health support, we encourage you to explore the Secular Therapy Project. This service connects you with thoroughly vetted therapists who provide only evidence-based, non-religious treatment—no rosaries, no faith healing. Fees, insurance, and sliding scale options vary by provider. Learn more at www.seculartherapy.org. Looking for reliable information but don’t know where to start? Browse our extensiv

Hear my voice: Law of attraction Creating the life You Want!

Thu
📅 2 Jul 2026
📍 M2 3HQ

Hear my voice: Law of attraction Mindset Workshops These workshops have been taken online due to the worldwide pandemic. I will continue them online & restart live session in 2023 in Manchester and Stockport. These workshops are created to help YOU focus on creating the better feeling thought. Align to who YOU really are and all YOU desire. Opening up a safe space for YOU to explore your thoughts & beliefs & how they are impacting your life. Teaching you techniques to show you how to change those beliefs if you so desire. A belief is only a thought you keep thinking You will know your path by the fun of it. Abraham Hicks Many of us don’t even realise we are being controlled by our thoughts which is just a program our parents, school, friends, society, family, have programmed in us. Just as they were programmed. This is neither good or bad it just is. You may think you are in control of your thoughts but you are not until you bring awareness to them. Freedom is when you see your thoughts and allow yourself to keep them or not, to empower you. What you are living is the evidence of what you are thinking and feeling. Neville Goddard Hear my voice focus is opening up a safe space for you to become aware of your own guidance system, your own programming so you get to decide how you want to live YOUR life. The intention of the group is to create the better feeling thought and to bring understanding to your thoughts. Your life is supposed to feel good to you and the only reason it is not is because consciously or unconsciously you are rejecting yourself in some way. Through what I will teach using meditation, discussion, written exercises, eft and lots of fun activities. These techniques will support you in changing your life however you desire it to be. No one can deny you or grant you anything. It all comes to you by virtue of your vibration. So many of us grow up and are not taught how to think, we just think the way we were programmed to think. A wo/man is a slave to his or her thoughts until he becomes its master. No man or woman is free until they consciously choose their own thoughts. You can be, do anything you want regardless of your situation or were you born into and this is what I will teach you. Free the mind and bring it back home to itself. Bryon Katie These mindset workshops will be using the powerful Law of attraction concept by Abraham hicks and some of those that are featured as co authors of The secret that I have had the pleasure of using there material and working with their consultants Bob proctor, Lisa Nicholas, Michael Bernard Beckwith, Joe Vitale, Neale Donald Walsh. And also using what I have learnt using some of Tony Robins teaching and the many inspirational books I have read. You create your own reality. Abraham Hicks Hear my voice was created to bring people together, connect & open up a safe space to explore your own minds. To clear limiting beliefs so you get to see your full potential, connect with, all of who you are. I will serve you everything I have inside of me & hopefully that will open up a space to see the awesomeness that is within you. I will share with you all my life skills, knowledge and what I have within me. I will share with you my experiences and how I used these skills to empower my life. I also run Hear my voice; inspirational, self development book club, A woman’s Loveability group, workshops, events were I share my story and also do talks at other peoples events. Anything you can imagine is yours to be or do or have. Whenever you know what you do not want there is an equivalent awareness of what you do want, but the problem occurs when you only put focus in what you don’t want. What you focus upon grows so at Hear my voice workshops I will be bringing your awareness and supporting you into focusing only to what you do want. With my skills I will open up a space for you to see the beliefs and repeated thoughts that are stopping you from seeing all you want and desire. Taking you into your vortex of Creation. Into your alignment. Things are always working out for YOU. Ask, believe, receive but to ask you must first know what you want and that is were I am here to help, clear the dust from your eyes, the dirt on your windscreen so you can decide what you want and with a knowing of what it will take to create that life with inspired action & connection to your own inner guidances. You are the CREATORS of your own reality. You have a guidance within YOU I don’t need to tell you how to live your life but I can help clear a space for you to recognise YOUR own guidance system within YOU Everything I will teach really is about helping you move in the direction of what feels better for YOU Be easy about your life, and feel our appreciation for who you are. Many Blessing to Y❤️U all  Yinka 💕
