Portsmouth Forest School (in conjunction with various partners) are organising an Eco Day and will have a variety of tasks that need GoodGym support on the day, which will include meeting organisations and helping them set up, meet and greet the public, helping out with activities on the day like seed sowing, making bird feeders, making bug hotels, other craft activities, family walks, and adult earth walks. Join the Baffins Pond Association in their monthly litter pick. Picks, gloves, bags provided by BPA. Note: there may not be a member of task force at the task. If this happens, take a few photos and add them to the run report sharing WhatsApp and someone will take care of the admin.

New parade route this year! Starting at the hotwalls, through old Portsmouth past the cathedral ending at the pride festivities on the common. They require volunteers to help marshall the parade. We usually ended up at the front, back within a few in the us in the middle. Meeting at the hotwalls at 10:30.

For this task, we will be meeting at the Mountbatten Centre for a 1km run / walk to Tipner Beach, where we will make a dent in clearing some of the plastic washed up on the shoreline. If anyone would like a longer run, we will be at Hilsea Lido at 6pm - please let me know if you'll be meeting me there!

Community Spotlight's Hilsea Station Adoption Project is now well underway, and they have the judges from the local "In Bloom" competition coming along on 12th June. We'll be visiting to give our GG planter some TLC, check other planters for weeds and do a little bit of litter picking to make sure the platforms are competition ready. Meet at Hilsea Lido for 6:15pm.

Tom at the Stacey Centre has asked if GoodGym can help out with some garden maintenance across the community orchard and pre-school garden area. There is likely going to be a massive pile of soil to be relocated via wheelbarrow, plus a range of small tasks to be undertaken, such as weeding, pruning and mowing.
