Join the Baffins Pond Association in their monthly litter pick. Picks, gloves, bags provided by BPA. Note: there may not be a member of task force at the task. If this happens, take a few photos and add them to the run report sharing WhatsApp and someone will take care of the admin.
What could volunteering in Portsmouth look like in 100 years? We’ll meet at Victoria Park - outside The Greenhouse at 5.30pm for a 1 mile run or walk to Aspex Gallery in Gunwharf for a 6pm start. Join GoodGym Portsmouth for a creative and interactive workshop exploring the future of volunteering and community action. Using photographs, storytelling and group discussion, we'll reflect on what makes volunteering meaningful today and imagine how community action could grow and thrive into the future. Please bring along a photograph (printed or on your phone) that represents community, connection or volunteering to you. We'll use these images to spark conversations about what works well, what should be protected, and what new possibilities might exist for future generations. This is a welcoming session open to existing GoodGym volunteers and anyone interested in community action, volunteering or local connection.
This week's Group Run will be a litter pick with a difference. Meeting at Fratton, we'll head to Kingston Rec and see who will be the first to complete their Litter Pick Bingo Card!
Visiting all the lions off the island, we'll have plenty of stops for photo ops and getting our breath back after the hills. . Meet by the Butterfly lion at the front of King George V football complex (pictured). Car and bike parking available (free of charge).
