We return to The Children’s Allotment!! In the early days of Goodgym Oxford we did a lot of work getting the Children’s Allotment up and running, and now they have asked for our help again! We will be weeding and clearing of a raised allotment bed, and help to move objects out of the polytunnel. This bed will be used by a local person who doesn't have their own growing space! And clearing the items will help us keep the path safe and accessible. Bring your gardening gloves if you have them, tools will be provided. Meeting points Runner meet at Richard Benson Hall at 6pm for a short jog to the allotment. Non-runners meet at the Children’s Allotment on Cricket Road at 6:15. What3words: ///nurses.skills.softly

We have been asked to help at the Marston Forest Garden monthly work party this month. We'll meet just before 10:30 on Boults Lane near the football club and Scout hut and walk down from there. For those cycling, we can walk them down to the Forest Garden from the entrance on Boults Lane. Any tools will be provided but please bring some gardening gloves if you own some, and weather appropriate clothing and footwear (it is often muddy in the Forest Garden after rain). This will be part of their monthly working party so we'll be joined by other volunteers and there is often cake on offer!

The warmer weather and the school Summer holidays will be enjoyed by many with picnicing and outdoor fun. Unfortunately picnics and outdoor fun mean LITTER! We'll be doing a summer litter pick on Port Meadow to ensure that it is safe for the cows and horses which call it home. We can go to The Medley for pizza afterwards if people are keen to grab some dinner. Please bring your gardening gloves - they're always useful on litter picks. Bags and grabbers will be provided. THIS TIME I WILL REMEMBER THE LITTER PICKERS AND BAGS….. Meeting Options: Non-runners meet us at Walton Well Road gate to Port Meadow at 6:15pm. Runners meet at West Oxford Community Centre on Botley Road at 6pm to run to the task.
