Fancy helping to bring some summer magic to Days Lane Primary School? We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help run various stalls and activities at the Days Lane Primary Summer Festival. There'll be plenty to do, including supervising inflatables, running outdoor games, serving food and drinks, and helping ensure everyone has a brilliant time. The festival runs from 3:00pm to 6:30pm, but we're only asking volunteers to help for around 90 minutes. By sharing the workload, everyone gets a chance to enjoy the festival, grab some food, catch up with friends and soak up the atmosphere. No special skills are required—just a friendly attitude and a willingness to muck in wherever needed. Whether you're a seasoned GoodGymer or joining us for the first time, we'd love to have you on board. As a thank you, all volunteers will receive a burger and a drink. 🍔🥤 This is a fantastic opportunity to support a local school, meet members of the community, and help create a memorable summer afternoon for local families. Come along, lend a hand, have some fun, and help make the festival a huge success!

Join us for a community litter-picking session around the Days Lane area, in partnership with Sweet Fig Tea and Coffee Lounge. We’ll meet at Sweet Fig then spread out around the neighbourhood to help clear litter from local streets and shared spaces, showing a bit of love to the area and making it nicer for everyone who lives, works, walks and goes to school nearby. We’ll spend around 40–45 minutes litter picking, then head back to Sweet Fig, where owner Sam has very generously offered refreshments for volunteers. It’ll be a lovely chance to have a cuppa, and connect with fellow GoodGymers and local community members. Bags and litter pickers will be provided (but please bring your own if you have one). We recommend bringing your own gardening gloves or kitchen gloves. Come along, do some good for the neighbourhood, and enjoy a well-earned drink afterwards! ☕💚

Sidcup Rotary Club have organised a litter pick to help keep Sidcup High Street and surrounding areas looking neat and tidy. So why not go along and join them? Litter picking is a great way to get in some steps, have a friendly chat and make a visible difference while helping the environment. Equipment will be provided, or you can use your own if you have it. Either way, we recommend you bring gardening or other gloves 🧤. Afterwards we'll likely head to a local café for a drink ☕. Important 👀 As well as signing up to this listing, please email to let Jim, the event organiser from Sidcup Rotary Club, know you are coming. In the email please mention that you are a GoodGym Bexley member. 📍Where and when Head to Main Road Car Park in Sidcup for 11am and look out for Jim from Sidcup Rotary Club. The car park address is Main Road, Sidcup DA14 6AG. What3Words: ///agree.cheek.heap Jim will hand out litter picking equipment from his car, and explain the plan. At the end please be sure to return any think you borrowed.
