📍 CV8 3BH

The 100 acres of Ryton Pools Country Park are just waiting to be explored. The many different habitats are home to a wide range of birds and other wildlife. The excellent surfaced paths enable easy walking around the site, and provide access to an adjoining ancient woodland, Ryton Wood (by agreement with the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust). After meeting by the site map/cafe area, we will walk a loop of approx 1.5 miles, have refreshments at the cafe and then walk another loop of a similar distance. Parking is £4.50 for 2 to 4 hours. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome. By joining this walk you take responsibility for your own safety, health and welfare.

West Midlands 20s to 40s Walking Group

Sun
📅 Every sunday
📍 CV7 7BE

We are a 20s to 40s group set up to cater for the demand of younger walkers looking for people to walk with who are of more their own age. Our members are scattered over a large area in the Midlands. As far south as Malvern and as far north as Lichfield, however most of us live in Birmingham and surrounding areas. New members are always welcome. Please check out our website for full information about our walks and events, and how to contact us. We are a Ramblers group that has been going for almost 20 years, and you'll generally find that there are more people on our walks than have signed up here! Most of us are not on Meetup so it's best to use email (see event details) for contacting walk leaders. Your comments and direct messages are monitored by only one volunteer and not always seen in time. You can find the email adresses in the walk descriptions. You can turn up to walks without the need to ‘book on'. However, we limit numbers of Meetup joiners to 20, as a little reminder that our walk leaders are volunteers and not always comfortable with managing very large groups. Please also note that we only put a selection of our walks and socials on here - there is more going on with the group and you can find this on our website. \\\\\\\* Ramblers information: Newcomers are welcome to join us for a couple of walks to decide if the group is for them or not. After that we ask that you join the group by joining the Ramblers - the UK's largest charity which aims to represent the interests of walkers and that we are part of. The Ramblers goal is to protect the ability of people to enjoy the sense of freedom and benefits that come from being outdoors on foot. It's an association of people and groups who come together to both enjoy walking and other outdoor pursuits and also to ensure that the infrastructure and places people go walking are protected and enhanced. You can read more about the Rambler

We do adventures.  Read on... The Beyond the 3 Peaks group is for men and women of all ages who like the more challenging walks, scrambling and going 'off piste' across open access land.  We have been doing this for more than a decade! The purpose of this mixed  group is to train together to undertake a variety of hillwalking  and mountaineering challenges. The Group We are a friendly and sociable group (not a commercial venture) with (usually) a roughly even split between males and females on events. We discuss and agree as a group what we do each year. Competence and experience in leading activities Safety is paramount.
