Edinburgh Mountain Bikers

Sat
📍 EH12 5BA

We like to think of ourselves as a friendly group of extended mates to go mountain biking with. Often it's hard to coerce your friends to take up biking or others things come up and you're left without biking buddies - that's where we come in. Hopefully there's a ride pitched at your level, if not why not suggest a ride or step up and host one, just click on "+ schedule a new Meetup" and put in some details. This group is for you, run by you. Happy riding. Have a look at our About this Meetup page for general guidelines and some tips.

Walk Then Cafe Edinburgh

Sun
📍 EH11 1NX

A social group for people who like to get outside, get moving, and then reward themselves with a well-earned coffee afterwards. Each event includes a relaxed walk (not a hike!) and ends with a café meet-up where everyone can chat and get to know each other. Great for newcomers, locals, and anyone looking for friendly faces.

Exploring nature in Edinburgh

Tue
📅 18 Aug 2026
📍 EH16 6NL

Welcome nature lovers! I enjoy learning and sharing my knowledge about birds, mammals, fungi, trees, wildflowers, insects, foods to forage and everything in between. Nature kept me going during lockdown. I find being outdoors calming and always feel better for it and I want other people to experience this too. My passion is for people to see nature in all its awe and glory and for this to inspire them in their personal lives too. I love to show people hidden gems that they walk passed every day, be that a stunning moth, elm tree blossom, an orchid or a fungi of the mushroom type! People are often amazed at what they overlook and I love to surprise them. I engage them with nature’s wonders and fire up their curiosity. The list is endless and this is why I love it some much as I discover and learn something new every day! My specialist subject is birds of the feathered type! I have lots of stories to tell about bugs’ lives, the soap opera of birds and how trees communicate with each other etc…. come along and meet new people and learn new things! I am starting up my nature connection walks again. A bit about my background: Various support work jobs Counselling course Ecosycology course Trauma informed practice Mental health first aid On the nature connection walks we will do various exercises/experiences. Grounding exercise, land art, nature connection experiences, connecting with our senses, silent walking, sharing our experiences (always optional) amoungst other things. Any questions just message me. As much as I love pets, they scare off the wildlife so please leave them at home for the walks, thanks

Edinburgh Men's Walk

Edinburgh Men’s Walk

All ages
📍 EH8 8HG

Edinburgh Men's Walk - Sunday 29th March 2026- 10am A free, regular walk for men in Edinburgh. No agenda. No performance. Just fresh air, good company, and real conversation. We meet in Holyrood park. The first 15 minutes are silent — a chance to arrive properly before the talking starts. After that, it's whatever comes up. Some guys come to meet people. Some come because they've been in their head too long. Most come back because it's the kind of conversation you don't get elsewhere. Fre

Edinburgh Walks & Random Events

Sun
📅 16 Aug 2026
📍 EH12 8PX

WE ARE A FRIENDLY AND WELCOMING GROUP. This group is for anyone and everyone who loves walking no matter what their ability. However, we want it to hopefully be more than just a walking group and take it one step beyond by incorporating more of the social aspect too by throwing in some other activities and events which will be combined with our walks or are completely separate events in their own right. After all, as they say, variety is the spice of life and your never too old to learn something new :-). So come join us, would love to see you and hopefully, some of the braver amongst you will also come live life on the edge with us and walk some of our more how can we put it LOL unchartered routes along the way LOL!!!!. FEES AND CHARGES This is a non-profit making group and it will remain that way for as long as we run the group. However, there is a Membership joining fee of £2. - It is a ONE OFF joining fee you DO NOT pay anything for attending walks etc. We am hoping that we can get enough members to join up that the joining fees from members will pay for the meetup charges to run the group on the site for the foreseeable future, and therefore hope that this will be a one off fee. However, in the event of a shortfall, we may do a whip round of members NOT more than once a year for a £1 contribution to go towards the meetup charges to help keep the group going. All finances and income of the group will be transparent and any member is welcome to ask to see the financial affairs of the group at any given time, this group belongs to us all and therefore we all share the same rights within the group.\ Our role as organisers is purely to administer and facilitate the running of the group. ORGANISERS Currently, there are 7 organisers in the group. However, we would love it if anyone else fancies coming on board and organise some events of their own. All we would ask is that you make these events FREE. Any charges must purely be from a third party ie like a venue charge, or charge for a show etc, or entry fee. No one is allowed to make any money from hosting an event in this group. The other commitment we would ask is that you host a minimum of 1 event every 3 months. Please contact us if you have any questions or suggestions, or would like to chat about becoming an organiser. We would love to have you on board.
