📍 BT1 1QE

Hi, I'm Megan. Originally from England and lived here for 5 years. I’ve noticed how few spaces there are for us who are seeking genuine and intentional connections outside the pub - especially for those who are sober, sober-curious, or simply choosing a clearer, more grounded way of being... Belfast Conscious Steps Selected Saturdays or Sundays at 11am (next event listed under 'Events') Cavehill Country Park This is a relaxed walking group for spiritually curious, sober-friendly people who are seeking connection beyond the usual social scenes. All paces welcome. We'll meet weekly at Cavehill initially (castle) starting with a familiar route to build continuity, and then new routes may be introduced over time if and when that feels right for all. A good fit for people building their community in their 30s and 40s, although all welcome. It is not: religious a recovery or addiction-support group therapy, counselling, or coaching a space for teaching, diagnosing or fixing * a cult (yet) Respectful behaviour is essential. If anyone acts in a way that feels inappropriate or disruptive, I'm comfortable stepping in to maintain the safety and tone of the group.

Try it out first, and if you enjoy it, there’s a small annual membership fee from £5-20 (the amount is optional, please pay what you can afford), payable by PayPal: @pamK300. Belfast Ladies Social Group (BLSG) Rules As this is a private group, and we are voluntary, membership is at the reasonable discretion of the main organisers. Bullying, discrimination, or any form of exclusion will not be tolerated. If you sign up for an event, please make every effort to attend or let the organisers know in advance if you can’t, as a host could be waiting for you unnecessarily. Confidentiality and trust are key and what’s shared in the group stays in the group. Membership is at the discretion of the organisers, and anyone not adhering to these guidelines may be asked to leave. We hope you enjoy being a member of this group. Pam

Belfast Social – Be Social!

Sat
📅 27 Jun 2026
📍 BT1 1QE

*Be Social! \- we're probably the best local group for socialising\, meeting new people and having fun in and around Belfast\, and hanging out with others of similar interests for things like: Movie Nights, Meals out, Dancing, Arts & Culture, Book Club, Group Travel, Walks, & Outdoor events, Educational Seminars, Inspirational Talks (in person or online), Chilling/Chatting over drinks or coffee, Watching Sports in a Bar, Attending Concerts, etc. Expect a warm and friendly welcome at each and every one of our buzzing events! COME AND JOIN THE CRAIC..... TERMS & CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP Belfast Social is a long-standing part of the global Meetup family, and exists to facilitate members with similar interests to come together to organise and participate in a wide range of fun and interesting events and activities in Belfast and beyond. We are NOT a dating site, and the Group should not be construed as such. Our Group is run by local Organisers/Hosts, and our events/activities are designed to enable members to socialise, make new friends, enjoy each other’s company, and, most of all, enjoy the craic that’s to be had out and about.  All Organisers/Hosts are volunteers, and do what they do in the spirit of friendship, outreach, and goodwill, and give their time and energy for free. By becoming and remaining a member of Belfast Social, you undertake to fully respect and abide by certain basic guidelines, which are set out below, and fully agree to the terms of the Disclaimer. MEMBERSHIP FEE Our Membership Fee is £12 (payable when you join, via PayPal) - that's just £1 per month! This gives you access to the universal Meetup platform via our app on your mobile/laptop/tablet, etc., which will enable you to view our Group’s Calendar of events and activities, and to select any you wish to participate in.  There are no other fees to pay, except if you wish to attend an event/activity where the external operator/venue requires payment (eg for a concert ticket, admission charge, meal, etc.).  Sometimes you will pay these yourself directly, sometimes the Host may collect these in advance. YOUR MEMBER PROFILE To join, you must be over the age of 18.  As a sign of your good faith we require you to upload a recognisable passport style photograph of yourself, and use your given name in your Profile. It is also helpful to include a few words about what you hope to get out of, and contribute to Meetup.  This enables Hosts and other members to recognise you when you show up, and gives them confidence and a little insight into your personality. Please note that only other Group members can see your profile. Suspected fake profiles and those without a photo/name will be deleted. ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP - Stay part of the Buzz! To get the most out of your membership, we would encourage you to actively engage on a regular basis by attending events/activities which interest you. And, maybe even consider becoming one of our Hosts if there are particular events/activities you would like to organise, and invite other members to attend.  It's important to visit the Meetup platform and our Group pages frequently to remain engaged, so please set your Notifications to “On”. We continually review member engagement, and your membership may lapse if you don't show up for any events for a period of 6 months or more. HOUSEKEEPING PROTOCOLS To assist Organisers/Hosts in the smooth running of the Group’s events/activities, you must observe a number of basic housekeeping protocols, as set out below. Organisers/Hosts have absolute discretion in how to manage their events/activities, with regard to payments, deposits, numbers attending, Wait Lists, etc.  ONLY RSVP for events/activities that you fully intend to attend/participate in, and turn up for at the time shown in the listing.  DO NOT just show up without an RSVP. If you RSVP then later find yourself unable to attend after all, change your RSVP as soon as possible.  Be aware that if you don’t show up without changing your RSVP, you will be recorded as a “NO SHOW”.  If you accumulate 3 NO SHOWS within 3 months your membership will lapse. Be mindful that, where there is a Wait List for an event/activity, a late cancellation by you (ie within 48 hours) may deprive another member of the chance to go.  Where you exhibit a pattern of "something's come up" late cancellations, your membership will lapse. Always try to show up on time for an event, perhaps even a little earlier if you have heart to help the Host prepare or keep seats.  If you are running late it would be good manners to message the Host via the app. Do NOT automatically RSVP “No” to events that you don’t intend to come to…. nobody is interested! If attending your FIRST event with a Host you may not have previously met, maybe show up a little earlier and introduce yourself. Remember to leave FEEDBACK, positive or negative (in the Comments or Discussion sections of the app), after

FFSIW – A community for fun independent 40-60’s women

Sat
📅 30 May 2026

FFSIW - Forties Fifties Sixties Independent Women This group offers the possibility of a new community of like-minded independent women at an age when they have time and enthusiasm to get back out there, meet new people and see what this next phase of our lives has to offer. An opportunity to get out and about in our beautiful city of Belfast and enjoy all its social/cultural opportunities and the wonderful countryside and beaches that surround us. The below description may seem long but I would ask that you read it carefully. I want to set out clearly the structure/rules/ethos of the group so there are no misunderstandings. I don’t envisage this group having hundreds of members. I don’t mind if there are only 20. What matters is that those who are members are active, engaged and truly looking for connection, camaraderie, understanding and potentially the holy grail of long-term friendships. In the last couple of years I returned to Belfast after a long time away and am looking to expand my social circle to be able to enjoy connection, make friends and take advantage of all the amazing experiences that Belfast offers. Why now? Well, we are about to welcome the start of a new year offering a clean slate and the opportunity to reset and look for the opportunities that lie all around us. I have been a member of a number of meetup groups and an organiser in a few and there are common themes that turn up in most: No-shows and late cancellations at events; never seeing the same person twice; intermittent event planning; and personality clashes. To name a few. What I want is a group that focuses on connection, camaraderie, understanding and potentially friendships. With a robust framework and ethos that prevents the above problems. My commitment: ·      I will fund the costs of the group for an initial 6 months to allow it to get established. Rome wasn’t built in a day. ·      I will also commit, from January, to organising a minimum of 2 coffee meetups, one meal/dr
