Norwich Holistic Yoga Meetup Group

Mon
📅 15 Jun 2026
📍 NR8 5AH

Welcome to the Norwich Holistic Yoga Circle. If you are ready to explore yoga both on and off the mat—beyond the physical realm—This is your space. Whether you are a dedicated yoga practitioner, a philosophy enthusiast, or a curious beginner looking for a supportive community, you are welcome here. ### What We Do We believe that yoga is a lifestyle. Our group connects through two main avenues: The Yoga Philosophy Circle (Bi-Weekly): We meet at local Norwich tea houses and quiet spots to dive into the philosophy of yoga. Each session, we select a specific philosophical topic—from ancient Pantanjali texts to modern mindfulness—sharing our views and expanding our understanding together. The Holistic Yoga Workshops (Weekly): Every weekend at the Costessey Centre (NR8), I host Holistic Yoga workshops. These sessions integrate my four paths approach: Yoga Philosophy, Pranayama (Breathwork), Asanas (Postures), and Dhyana (Meditation). * Meet your Host, Shivani. Warm greetings! I am a Yoga Instructor from India. For me, yoga is a space of connection; of mind and body, finding peace, and rejuvenating. My mission is to create a space for like-minded people and share those benefits with others. I love yoga through these paths: Yoga Philosophy, Mantra Chanting, Pranayama (Breath work), Asanas(Postures) and Dhyana(Meditation). I primarily teach Hatha Yoga that includes postures and breathwork. My journey of training and teaching yoga has been incredible, and I am looking forward to building a like-minded community here in Norwich/Norfolk.

Pottery workshop – Make a ceramic sgraffito bird

📅 6 Aug 2026
📍 NR35 2AN

A relaxed, informal class, where you can spend time making and glazing your own sgraffito bird. This class is suitable for beginners as well as anyone who has attended a previous workshop. I am a qualified teacher and the class takes place at my studio at Earsham Hall, near Bungay. In this workshop, you will make a bird sculpture using slab building, which you will then decorate using underglaze and use the sgraffito technique to add decoration. Sgraffito involves scratching and carving off the underglaze to reveal the white clay underneath. Your bird can be designed to sit in different positions or you can make it into a hanging decoration. I will then fire your bird, give it a final transparent glaze when it will be fired for a final time. All equipment and materials are supplied and you will be able to make, glaze and take home (in a couple of weeks after firing) a unique piece of pottery that you have made yourself. Pottery is fantastic for relaxation, mindfulness and wellbeing as well as being an incredibly rewarding hobby. Included: All materials, including clay and underglaze. Firing and a final clear glaze. All equipment.
