Come and join us at Coldham's Common parkrun. More information about this parkrun: parkrun is a free community event where people walk, jog or run 5k. It takes place every Saturday and everyone is welcome. Volunteers are a vital to ensure the events run smoothly and carry out task such as setting up the event, marshalling, timekeeping, scanning, handing out finish tokens or tail walking. To volunteer, you need to be registered with parkrun to receive your barcode and ID (number starting with A). You can find more information about volunteering at parkrun here: The first weekend of the month is pacer week at Coldham's parkrun. You can request to volunteer as a pacer, so you can run and volunteer! To volunteer, please email: to say you would like to volunteer and include your ID number (starting with A) in the email. The team will confirm your role and arrival time. We will meet near the Coldham's Common parkrun sign and volunteer sign in area.

Join Abbey People to continue their Seeds of Hope project. ๐ŸŒผ This session session will involve general garden maintenance and weeding tasks to keep the Barnwell Verge nature corridor looking its best. All equipment and refreshments will be provided. Note: This session will be led by Abbey People who will introduce the task and provide a safety briefing. Abbey People support those most at-risk through targeted community projects, provision of general anti-poverty support such as community food provision, supporting access to education and employment, projects to improve the environment, and by developing a culture of volunteering in the community.

Come along to help keep the allotment at its best! We will carry out general maintenance activities as well as weeding and watering plants. All equipment will be provided. Please bring water and wear appropriate clothing for the task and the weather (caps and sun cream!). ๐Ÿ“ŒWe will meet at the task (behind Cambridge United Football Ground). The allotments are gated, so we will meet at the gate. There is space to store bikes inside the allotment space and a safe space for belongings. This is a relaxed, social evening and Fox Den is truly lovely at this time of year.

The grass has been cut and Maggie would love us to clear it, so that it doesn't rot down in situ. This will help with their ongoing conservation work. โœ… We'll be raking and bagging the cut grass. This task will support the organisation of Arthur Rank Hospice's fundraising event. โœ… We'll be putting up signs along a 4km route through central Cambridge ahead of the event to support the smooth running. ๐Ÿ“Œ Meet at the junction of Hills Road and Norwich Street (CB2 1LA). About GoodGym We're a friendly and social group who combine exercise with helping out in the local community. We meet every week to get active and do a physical task to help the charities, community organisations and projects across Cambridge. Arthur Rank Hospice supports people with advanced medical conditions who are in need of end of life care. The Star Shine Walk* is thier annual nighttime walk and fundraising event.

โœ…Join us to support SIN Cru to develop their greenspace. We will be digging, weeding and doing general maintenance tasks to get the garden area ready for use by community groups. All equipment is provided, but please bring gloves. ๐Ÿ“ŒTwo ways to join: For the group run: Meet at Parkside Pools at 6pm. The run is 3.5km each way and will be taken at a steady pace to suit the group. For the task: Meet in Arbury at 6:30pm. Photo shows the entry gate along the back wall of the site (31 Turpyn Ct, CB4 2RN map ( W3W: into.cotton.tunes). Bikes can be brought into the garden. Please note, that there are two friendly dogs on site. If this is an issue, please let me know. โœจDefinitely Real Build ( is a community project to help support young people and North Cambridge residents experiencing challenges accessing arts and culture provision, and to provide a safe green space with activity teaching about nature, sustainability and healthy active lifestyles. Itโ€™s also a space for local artists and people in our community in need.

โœ… Community Mission Join us to help support Cambridge City Foodbank through Your Party Youth Cambridge's mutual aid initiative. YPYC collect foodbank donations in town every week and need our help getting them to the foodbank in East Chesterton. We'll collect the donations and run, walk or cycle them over. It is 1.5km between collection and drop-off points. Please bring a backpack or similar to carry donated items. ๐Ÿ“Œ Two ways to join: for the run and the task, or meet us directly at the task. At both meeting points you can't miss our red t-shirts! **For the run: Meet at Parkside Pools at 6pm. We will meet inside the entrance of Parkside Pools where there are toilets and a bag drop. We'll warm up and then head out for a 2.5km jog/run, staying together as a group to head to the collection point. For the task: Meet outside Stir (Chesterton Road, CB4 1BG) at 6:20pm. ๐Ÿ’› If it is your first time coming to GoodGym you are very welcome here - our friendly GoodGymers will be waiting to say hi!
